Hi. Welcome.
Not too scrambled to be able to post on here. We are often bluffed and fooled by symptoms about ourselves that we jump to the wrong conclusions. I am not minimizing the effect social anxiety can have on the quality of life, but it may be normal for you. Some people are very gregarious, they love the company of others and feel alone if not surrounded by people. Others like to be alone and find socializing difficult. It's not right or wrong to be like that. There is no 'normal' in anxiety. Most people have anxiety at some time but it stays within bounds and when the danger is past they let it go, not so with anxiety sufferers, Anxiety sufferers have greatly exaggerated symptoms which they become afraid of. The fear can develop into full blown anxiety. If you do feel that socializing would help then the only way to do it is to get out there. Easy baby steps at first, but slow and persistent exposure to a social life can only be good.
