Does anyone else suffer from palpitations, racing and skipping? What works for you? I've severely limited my caffeine, eliminated alcohol and increased my exercise to no avail. I also added magnesium supplements. My doc told me to increase my beta blockers and that seems to help a little but not what I was hoping. Any other sufferers?

Anxiety and panic attacks often make me feel as if I'm having heart palpitations and my heart does race, it's a very common symptom. I would try deep breathing exercises when it occurs as they should decrease your heart rate and anxiety. It's nothing to worry about as long as you've had a doctor check that you don't have any problem with arrhythmia.

I have had a palpitation almost everyday for like 3 days. It just happens once, my heart skips a beat and takes me off guard and makes me kind of catch my breath. I’m not doing anything at the time and am not really under stress. I’ve had several EKGs and wore an event monitor. All normal. I guess just chalking it up to being an anxious. I know exhaustion and dehydration, or low electrolytes can make them happen more often than we would like. But they say almost all palpitations are normal and no cause of concern.

I get palpitations as well when I get anxious. It is crazy because mine happen when I don't expect it as well. I was told the same thing, they are normal and cause no problems. Other than make us anxious people scared to death that our heart is getting ready to quit working.
