Headaches and deadlines...

I’m back after about 10 months of doing pretty good.

The last two weeks my anxiety has spiked due to ongoing headaches (everyday) around my left eye. The pain will hit for a few seconds in various areas around my eye. This has happened everyday for the past two weeks at a frequency of about 24 to 36 times a day. Seems to be worse in the afternoon and evening.... I did notice my eyelid twitching, but only once or twice during the past two weeks. I ask myself if I’m feeling sick to my stomach, but I can’t really tell (which tells me I’m not)
Triggers - my buddy’s wife was recently diagnosed with brain cancer. It’s been on my mind almost everyday since hearing the news 3 or 4 weeks ago.
The night before I noticed my headache - I took a pretty big hit in a soccer game. I continued with no pain and didn’t think anything of it. Although I don’t have anymore back or neck pain then usual, I wonder if I messed up something when I took the hit.
I did go to my doctor after about 4 days of aches - he didn’t seem to care and gave me the typical “look-sie” exam.
Deadline - he did say to come back if it didn’t get better. Which I don’t feel like that it is. I always tell myself “ok, go back in _____ days if you don’t feel better”. I can never tell though if my anxiety keeps pushing my symptoms until I reach my above mentioned deadline.

Any advice and support would be much appreciated

Steve

I did forget to mention - that when I don’t have pain - I have this unusual feeling of slight numbness around the bottom of my left eye. It’s barely noticeable, but it’s there, I can feel it

Hey Steve - that sounds super uncomfortable. I'm sorry you're going through that... You might just have some sort of pinched nerve - I have a pinched nerve in my neck/shoulder that causes headaches around my right ear and eye. It's pretty miserable, but when I can get it released a little, it eases up. The doctor only gave me anti-inflammatory/pain meds. What ended up really helping was a chiropractor and physical therapy! Anyways, I hope you can get it figured out. In the meantime, I'm sure it doesn't help anxiety, right?
