Having Panic Attacks

I have been having panic attacks all day long it started out with my restless leg syndrome this morning then my stomach bothering me it feels like my nerves on jumping inside my chests but it always presses against the area near my heart.I dont have chest pains nothing like that I have had this before I tried laying down but after awhile they got much worse MY friend was here so I just stayed on the couch but I couldnt take it anymore so I switched places with her and sat in the chair the odd thing is once i moved into the chair i felt better,but I was so tired I needed a nap and slept for about 45 minutes now I got that feeling of wanting to gag again I tried deep breathing but it only makes me want to gag more.I am almost afraid to eat because I am afraid I may upchuck again. However I am hungry and sometimes I find my anxieties are worse if I dont eat.Does anybody else experience this at all?

Oh dear Carol! This doesn't sound too good. No I don't get these problems, thankfully.

You need to eat and I remember there was a product in the UK called Complan.


It is just a shake that you could drink. It is meant for people in convalescence. I don't know if you get anything like this in your area but do try and find some. It will help you to bring back your appetite and give you the vitamins and minerals that you need while you cannot eat.

When you get a panic attack, I know you are saying you can't do deep breathing because it makes you gag. Okay then, so how about trying what they do on transport when someone gets travel sick? They think they are going to gag, but they blow into a paper bag and breathe it in after. Try it, please. If it makes you feel worse, obviously stop straight away but give it a try.

Try and relax yourself, Carol. When you feel rough, close your eyes and just focus on your breathing for a while. Tell yourself that you are okay. What is happening that for a while before the panic attack starts, you were breathing shallow. Now your heart wants to pump air around your body because you haven't taken in enough. Take it really slowly. Know what your heart is doing and why. Then try to help it along by calming down. You could try to breathe in air through a straw too. You would take in air slowly then you would take a breath because of turning away from the straw.

This is anxiety hunny. I'm there giving you a hug and telling you that all is going to be okay.

This is awfully strange i started to take a new allergy pill last week well i did take them before but right after i took them i got so dizzy lightheaded sweaty and panicky so I am not going to take them maybe there was something in them they are over the counter ones gosh i hope i dont have anything wrong with me again,these sweats are happening a lot but i also know that anxieties can do that to you.thank you i will see if i can find that product

It might help you to build up your strength again. It is packed with extra vitamins and minerals and stuff that gives you an appetite. If you can't find this one, I'm sure that America will have something similar. Ask when you go into the pharmacy, they should know.
How are you feeling now?
