Got a bruise-like mark on top of my eyebrow. I think this is it

Hi, all. I've been a long time lurker here and like you, I've been an HA sufferer for more than a decade.

Recently, my right eyelid has been twitching for many weeks now but I haven't been too worried about it. These past few days, I started touching that twitching part (the inner corner of my right eye), pinching and massaging that area, but not too hard. Just for a few seconds here and there.

This afternoon, at the office, an colleague told me I had a red mark near my eyelid (see photos, click to enlarge). I honestly don't know if it'a bruise or not. If it is, I am terrified of the big C of the blood. If it's not, then I'm terrified of something else.

What's freaking me out is that I don't particularly remember this morning massaging or pinching that area. I'm certain it wasn't there this morning as well. I've been doing that "massage/gentle pinching" these past few days so why did it just happen now? So this is making me more anxious because it could be one of those "unexplained" bruising or rashes that could be a symptom of you know what.

I tried checking other areas of my body and I don't see any bruises so far. I'm just particularly scared of this one now. :(

My rational side is trying hard to say that this is caused by the occasional massaging/pinching, BUT as I've said, I don't recall pinching that area today. So why just now?

Is the shape indicative of my massaging/pinching? It looks like it's a bow-shaped so I'm not sure if it's because of the pinching/massaging. I'm at my wits end right now and could use some support :(

It looks like the skin has been rubbed a lot of times in that area. To me that is all it looks like. Nothing more. Put a bit of cream on it and see if it vanishes after a few days.

Thank you, Cuchculan. Have you had this before? And is it normal for this to stay that long? Well, it's only been a few hours but, yeah, kinda anxious still...

I mean I had red marks on my forehead before because of sleeping on my desk and they usually disappear in an hour...

The big c would not affect such a small area of the body. That is too localized

Have had similar. Just not in that part of my body. More just from rubbing / scratching the area. At times we don't even know we are doing it. I would give it a few days. Maybe, as I already said, put some sort of cream on it. Let it heal up.

I had that on my eye ball. It came after someone head butted me in the eye. I will not go more into that incident, It cleared after a couple of days, if yours doesnt not clear after a month, then see the doctor.
