I have undiagnosed gluten allergy/ sensitivities/ celiac disease? One of those for sure but whenever I accidentally consume gluten one of the many bad things that happen to me is my anxiety goes into overdrive and is a lot more difficult to manage. It’s the strongest closest to exposure then it slowly goes back to being more normal and easier to handle. Has anyone else had the same problem or noticed this pattern?

You might be sensitive to it, but to be honest, being properly allergic to it can lead to decreased bowel movement and constipation. Usually the symptoms are with the digestive system, rather than with anxiety. But I am not a doctor, so it might be worth talking about it with you doctor.

Thanks! I do have all the digestive system problems when I am glutened, the anxiety is just another fun side effect that I was wondering if anyone else who has gluten problems has noticed.

If you have issues with Gluten you should definitively see a doc to rule out Celiac disease. I know a lot of people are self diagnosed gluten intolerant, however Celiac disease is a serious illness and if you have it avoiding gluten is about more than just avoiding digestive upset, it's about protecting your digestive system from long term, serious consequences. Just IMO as a healthcare practitioner. Anxiety may or may not be a consequence of consuming gluten, the jury is still out on that one, but anxiety definitely feeds on fear so you could very well be reacting anxiously because you fear this reaction is caused by gluten. Kinda self fulfilling prophesy as with many types of health anxiety...happens to me a lot.
