Hi guys! I know I posted recently about my fear I had gotten bitten by a bat (this was almost 4 weeks ago this Saturday).

For those who don't know, I was walking inside my house at 11:30 pm when I heard something fly out of the bushes right next to my legs. It startled me and at the time I thought it was probably a bird who I scared and they decided to fly away. After some thinking (my Hypochondria got the best of me), I thought it could be a bat; and if so that it bit me. I worried about this for probably around a week, and the anxiety subsided after speaking about my fears. However, a couple weeks ago I had gained a stuffy nose and sore throat. This has since passed, and this morning I woke up SO nauseous, burping and feeling like I need to go to the bathroom (if you know what I mean). I did have a stomach ache yesterday after having a greasy lunch on my lunch break, so at the time I did not think it was bad. Now, I am sitting at work and both of my legs feel weak and overall just achy. I do not think it could be the flu, as I do not have a fever and I got my flu shot. Do you guys think this could now be rabies symptoms? I do this to myself with all diseases/sicknesses, but I can't shake this feeling that it could be. After doing research, it seems this could be the time to develop symptoms.

rabies in humans is INCREDIBLY uncommon - literally 1-3 human deaths per year due to it... in a population of almost 400,000,000 people. the odds of winning the powerball is 1 in 292,000,000. you seriously have better odds of winning the lottery. if that doesn't put things in to perspective, your odds of getting struck by lightning are 1 in 14,500. do you worry about that every time it rains? i sure hope not.

regarding your symptoms - always look for the most likely explanation and work your way back.

your stuffy nose and sore throat: 1.) it's cold season. 2.) those are common cold symptoms. 3.) it's passed. chances of it being related to what your experiencing now? slim to none.

your current symptoms: you had a greasy meal the day before and had a stomach ache. along with causing stomach aches, greasy and fatty foods can also cause diarrhea and acid reflux which causes nausea and burping... especially while you sleep because gravity is not helping you keep the contents of your stomach where it belongs.

please do not google your symptoms. it will always cause more anxiety than it will alleviate. ALWAYS.
