Hi All-

I’ve been struggling for a couple of weeks with a myriad of symptoms. I’ve had some pain/burning/tightness in my chest. It has not affected my breathing. My cardio is actually pretty normal. Nevertheless, it’s still uncomfortable to have any sort of discomfort in your chest area. It seems to move around a little bit. Sometimes it’s directly under my sternum, sometimes it’s a little to the left or to the right. Sometimes it feels like it’s more up in my throat. It comes and goes. Now I’m also feeling some pain in my shoulder, towards my shoulder blade.

It’s been accompanied often on by some gastrointestinal issues. I’ve been bloated/belching off and on. Sometimes the pain or tightness is replaced by a clear burning. I’ll have a burning feeling or warm sensation in my stomach. I’ll have a tender throat sometimes, with that bad, acidic sort of taste in the back of my mouth.

Ive also had pins and needles in my arms. Nothing debilitating, but noticeable. I wake up every morning with pretty moderate tingling in my arms, that quickly subsides. It’s like my arms almost fall asleep while I’m sleeping, which leads me to think there’s some sort of impingement.

I’ve had so many things going on in recent months. Muscle ticks/twitches. Palpitations. Lightheadedness. Everything has subsided eventually, and a series of doctors appointments a few months ago turned up completely clean. I’m guessing these most r are all just continuous symptoms of anxiety, but nevertheless it’s frustrating and uncomfortable, particularly when you’re dealing with discomfort in the chest area.

Anyone else experiencing anything similar? Any advice is always appreciated.

I was having the same issues give or take a month ago. I hurt my breast exercising at the gym and I felt like it was my heart too. I could feel it in my chest and my throat as well. My stomach has had the flutters too. I definitely agree that it is stress and anxiety. Try to drink more water and be a little less active for a day at two!

Sleeping on your arms causes the tingling.

The trouble with symptoms is that any one symptom or combination can mean different things. Your doctor is trained to evaluate the relationship between one symptom and another--which to pay attention to and which to dismiss. I presume that you, like me, are not a medical professional so we don't have the necessary skill set to analyze the nuances of our symptoms. By all means, if you are concerned, see your doc AND trust him or her.
