I notice Trump is gone from Twitter and Talk radio was banned from YouTube I feel a little anxious these tech companies are taking over and controlling things. It’s bad enough COVID conspiracy without them closing down lockdown chat on YouTube?

I suppose this comes down to the type of speech been used. i know on FB hate speech has never been allowed. Or let us say they deem your words as telling others to go out and committ crimes. That might in the forms of riots. They will always remove it. Trump posts dumb stuff. He always had. They did not want him invoking any kind of riots. So they blocked him for a few days. Let things cool down.

Here in Ireland we had a young policeman take his own life after abuse on social media for about a year after he became well known for a traffic stop on a woman who is known for her hate speech. it was her followers who began to harrass the policeman using social media. This ended in his death.

It depends on what you are saying and who your target audience is. It might be best not to block Trump but to approve every post he makes before it goes public. Thus making sure it contains no hate speech or it won't get people going to riot.

Yes I mean we spent the whole of 2010’s addicted to social media. But I read a footballer got abuse and came off. Too often you hear of trolling these days. Infact I was using another anxiety forum and people swore at me and I admit that’s affected my mental health. The 2020’s suck so far because free speech is gone I mean to give you an idea some of my favourite shows were taken off streaming services in 2020. Now have to get the dvds.

Obviously it’s easier to connect with people via social media but I do worry we are seeing less good than good on social media. I have a few friends who quit social media altogether and to be honest its the same people who post on it these days. Forums were less popular than 2000 so maybe a good thing if social media takes a back seat maybe some people use it but no longer the main form of media?

Is a new law in Ireland following the death of a teenage girl due to social media abuse. You can be arrested and charged with it now. That is a good thing. People want those who abused the policeman on social media charged under this new law. Mianly the woman, who is well know for her big mouth here in Ireland. She took the government to court to challenge the whole lockdown thing. Then refused to stay within the distance of the restictions from her home. This policeman arrested her for breaking that law. Most Irish people were happy. Finally she got arrested. Then her little band of followers began their social media abuse of the policeman. He couldn't take any more of it.

If used the right way there is nothing wrong with social media. You will always get you few idiots. These are the ones they look out for. With Trump they feared he might stuff that would lead to a riot. After what did happen the other day. So they suspended his account for a few days. I can understand that. When he is allowed back using it again I wonder what he will write up.

My concern too is I have even sworn at on other anxiety sites. Problem is often I feel desperate for help and I go back to some sites and often there is trolls who notice what I post and pick up on it and then I get abuse which makes things worse. How can I avoid going on the forums that cause that anxiety?

Delete them from your favourites. That way they are gone. Only way to access those forums will be through a search engine. So don't look them up again. I only use a few sites. No interest in other sites. Some just bore me. Stick to the few I like.

I am struggling with the whole censorship thing still when you read more about Great Reset and stuff I often worry these things are coming true? Am I over worrying? It seem this COVID thing is really dragging on and not being able to go anywhere well some days I have better days than others but today it sort of gets to me. Being able to travel often reduces my anxiety as I am keeping busy is there any tips to Cope with this lockdown?

Covid will drag on for another 6 months or so. Can't see much changing. They will expect us to continue with the social distancing and all of that stuff. We will have the fall out from that. As a lot of places have been shut for so long. Getting back on track will be hard for a lot of people. All about trust. Trust that it is safe out there again for a start. We have been told to stay apart for so long because of a virus. If next week they told it was safe to gather in a crowd again would you believe them? People will be a bit dubious to begin with. Vaccine wise, we will have half the country take the vaccine. Half not wanting it. Those who take it might be allowed do more than those who refuse it. Already have checks in most countries for people entering another country. Have to show a negative result on you don't get in. Soon that will be that you must take the vaccine or you don't get in. Nobody will be willing to take any risks at all. Might drive a split between some countries. Be an interesting one to see what happens.

I hope it’s not the case. My auntie got the vaccine and she has been very ill with it. I would rather have the choice than be forced to take it. I mean if they vaccinate the at risk hospital and deaths go down? Surely most heathy people catching this like the flu will fight it off a herd immunity?

I am feeling quite low today about the lockdown. I did go out and get some exercise but not being able to do much is really getting me down. When I was out I felt anxious I couldn’t do what I usually do. I came home and read the pubs will close to May and we may need yearly COVID vaccines and social distancing will continue. It all seems very doom and gloom today does anybody really believe this will be over soon? It seems to be this is 2021 the entire year?

Honest answer would be to say that even the experts have no idea what will happen in the future. It is all a guessing game for now. By Summer I would guess there would be better vaccines available. Ones they are using now were rushed through. Lot of people felt ill after the first dose of the vaccine. You are meant to get a second dose three weeks later. I can't really see that vaccine been around for long in its current state. It will be improved upon. That is only step 1.

Is horrible to have sit in and not do the things you like to do. Limit on how far you can travel from your home. Next to nowhere open. Maybe find something you have always wanted to try. Thanks I never thought about that. During the last lockdown it was summer I got a tennis racket and played tennis and some table tennis. And you are correct my auntie got the vaccine and felt very ill. Not optimistic hope they don’t try and force people to take one in the future.

I feel all I do is work I mean it could be worse I could be on furlough and be even more bored. I Duno how people have kept busy being sat at home for almost a year. My motivation is low as I go to work go home and watch on repeat. Getting exercise is difficult in the winter weather unlike the March lockdown. I guess the good news is spring won’t be too far away and hopefully by the summer some of these rules would be gone for good?

Scottish winter is a bit Irish winter. Have had a mixture of everything here over the past week. From snow to thunder storms to the paths been like an ice rink. Have you got anything indoors you can exercise on? Some go for an exercise bike. Turn the heat up full and put some music on and cycle in your livinf room. Is a bit boring doing the same things day in and day out. But that is were we are all at for now. It will change as the months pass. What we are seeing now are the cases from the Christmas to New Year period. Everybody knew the numbers would be huge. Roll on the warmer months.

Knew they would give people something to prove they had the vaccine. The police stop you because you are not covered up. By law they could arrest and fine you until the whole Covid rules. You have this passport to say you got the vaccine, you should it to them, and there is no trouble at all.

Yes I won’t be in a hurry for the vaccine either I don’t think it should be forced. Home kit Saliva testing should be an alternative for the so called app show a negative result you enter the venue. Otherwise nothing if COVID levels drop below flu I don’t see how it could overwhelm the nhs? It should be a be choice no discrimination we should be able to weigh up the covid risk vs vaccine risk or no vaccine and decide if we need it. If you are goes that and want and to continue that should be your choice. This is why I have extreme anxiety we are living under these restrictions and they may make them long term if you don’t have the vaccine.
We should get our free lives back these rules barley work as case numbers high anyway

There is this great thing you can use to see when you will get the vaccine. As in were you stand in the pecking order. I done it for a laugh and got May of 2022. Not even 2021. I think by 2022 they might have a cure for the virus. The current vaccine changes nothing at all. You can still catch the virus and transmit it. I think people think the vaccine will mean they can do loads of things. They will still have to wear their masks and do the whole social distance thing. You could self test. But for that to work you would need everybody else to self test too. If you came back negative on a self test and went anywhere, others might still have the virus.

They said the lack of the flu was due to people wearing face masks and social distancing. But also said the high rate of Covid was due to people not wearing masks and not social distancing. How to contradict yourself in a single statement. Plus we normally see the winter vomiting bug every year. Sweeps through hospitals. Not last year / this year so far. They will claim that is because of how well hospitals are cleaning up at the moment. But that would be like saying hospitals never clean up well every other year.

All these different strains. Give it time another one will pop up. They need to blame rising numbers on something.
