Oh my gosh thank you! The first wig we tried to get was a disaster! Shedding everywhere, lace not matching, the whole deal. Luckily, we found Freedom Couture. Truly the best wig I’ve ever had! The lace is invisible and the hair is a wonderful quality. I can’t say enough good things about their customer service as well. Truly a blessing in disguise. I am over the moon! Thank you again!Hi Sophie. The first time I saw you post it was about difficulties over the purchase of a new wig. Can I ask how that turned out? Also, my sincere hope is that you don't get the flu.
Sophie, nice to meet you.. thank you for your candor. I hope your day is going ok..I’ve been a member for a while and never introduced myself! I’m sophie.. a teenager who suffers from alopecia, ocd, anxiety, depressi9n, and emetophobia. Life’s a little hard. I guess.
I definitely agree! My mom has the same mindset on medication. We tried Zoloft and it has helped me tremendously. No more meltdowns and I can deal with things on my own a bit better. Of course, I still have a lot of work to do but that’s ok! If you wanted to not try medication, I found it was helpful to try and distinguish what parts of my day were a “routine” or a “ritual”. For example, I have a specific order I like to do my night routine with. This is a routine. However, I used to stay up until 3 am tapping on my walls and touching my pillows. This was a ritual. I think it’s really important to make that distinction. I got to a point it was so bad that I was sleeping in my parents bed because my room had too many triggers. While this isn’t possible for everyone, we redid my room (a new coat of paint, took out the carpet, etc.) On a smaller scale, you can just rearrange furniture. And please please please give her space. I don’t really allow anyone in my room as it causes me anxiety. Just asking what her triggers are can make a world of difference. Hope this helps!Sophie, nice to meet you.. thank you for your candor. I hope your day is going ok..
I'm curious, have u found any successful treatments for your OCD (?) I have a daughter (probably close to your age), who I see is developing some obsessive compulsions. And I want to help her, without medication if possible..
And u are right.. life can be hard. But sometimes our trials & suffering can set up our greatest rewards & wisdoms..
