Over the past year, I've suffered pain in my left foot on 3 occasions, near the ball of the foot and big toe. I suffer health anxiety, so basically I think of the worst outcome, it in turn gives me the worst bodily feelings and robs me of happiness in the present moment. I googled it as I have a high arch, and nureo problems like MS and those scary conditions came up! And I've worked myself into a frenzie of awful health woes! I'm getting a gait scan Monday just to see if I need more supportive shoes! Hope it's a simple outcome! Thanks folks for reading and hope you all are feeling good X

Hi @Dannibee123 welcom to the forum. I hope you will enjoy it here :)
Googling your symptoms is the worst. It always cancer or another terminal illness.
I do the same and work myself up over the simplest things, so I forced myself to stop googling.

In regards to your foot pain. I had a similar pain not long ago. I could not walk properly and my foot started to swell.
It turned out that I needed proper shoes and adapted shoe insoles. Since then I'm only wearing doc martens shoes and insoles that support my feet.

I know it's easy to say "don't worry", but I bet it's just something simple. That's the thing with health anxiety, it's always the worst.

Thanks so much for you're reply pet! It's lovely and comforting to understand and see there are people out there that worry on the same level as myself! ❤ Do you worry yourself about every ailment or just particular ones?

Thanks very much for you're reply, much appreciated! Love and light X

Awww I'm blushing

Gosh I worry about my health a lot of the time. Not long ago I thought I'm going to have a heart attack soon, because my chest felt so tight and heavy. Turned out it was accumulated stress that picked in a panic attack.

MS is one of my greatest fears, next to dementia. The thing is anxiety and stress symptoms might have some similarities to early sysmtoms of both.

Been to the doctor for that a few times o_O

It's really good to know, that one is not alone. Makes it easier to cope :)

No need to blush my friend! Thanks so much! Ya I have a fear of MS and ALS too scares me :( as you say the symptoms of anxiety can mimic so many serious conditions! It's nice to be able to relate! I know how you feel tho! It's like a sesnse of impending health scare, and then if you don't do something about it, the 'what if' plagues the mind! All in the mind X

Checking google for any symptoms Is the worse thing you can do. It will drive you mad. Every symptom you check is apparently a life threatening disease like cancer . Best avoid it all togethor, that's what I do now. If your anxious about something best go visit a doctor. All the best.

The what if, the what could, should, would; are the most agonising forms of questions. Especially when you are battling any kind of anxiety, those questions can drive you insane.

The funny thing is though, it could all be so easy. Just go to the doctor and have it checked, but then I would need to go to the doctor at least once or twice a week. And it's so embarrassing, so I just try no to go and the agonising questions start. :banghead:

Wow you're a lot braver than I am, I'm almost afraid of going for some reason, perhaps scared of troubling news! It's like when one thing is wrong I fixate in on it and almost see things wrong! I've been twice to the doc this year to get CBC and all came back fine, except iron was little low so just on supplements! I've a gait scan Monday which freaks me out :/ X

Hi @Dannibee123 nice to meet you and welcome to the forum. I wouldn't suggest googling to see what your symptoms are. That is a sure way to cause yourself unnecessary worry. Go and see your doctor and don't worry about hassling him. If you're concerned about your health you have a right to find out what it is that is causing you the pain or discomfort. Good luck.

My heel area was constantly in pain. I figured if I try this produce maybe my feet would be happier. So I ordered and expected the item to take its usual 2-4 weeks, because I live in Hawaii. To my surprise, not only was shipping free, the item was at my home on the promised dated. Since I have worn my new shoes, my heels are no longer in pain! I needed orthofeet shoes

Was the pain something that seemed to come from your bones or skin? For the bones one I feel that occasionally too,and it has really been a while. I'm still doing fine, so I'm guessing it has something to do with posture? Inflammation? I can't tell. I think you'll be alright. If you have MS you would be feeling a lot more than foot pain right now. Maybe you can consult a doctor about this, so it can get better. Maybe it was the eay you walk, your shoes, anything really. :)
