I’ve been really stressed lately and the past two or 3 days I’ve felt completely crappy. I’m wondering maybe it’s early symptoms of the flu. I keep waking up with headaches and body aches. My body aches are not as bad as when I get the flu. My skins not sensitive like when I get the flu. I’m not shivering or shaking like the flu. I do have a sore throat but I have that everyday from GERD. I feel weak and tired but I can’t sleep. I have emetephobia so I’m scared of the flu because vomiting is involved sometimes. So having anxiety over being sick makes it all worse. Anyone have any tips on how to tell the flu and anxiety apart?

My guess is that it is not the flu. You'd be vomiting, have the runs or both with the flu.

It sounds more as if you have exhausted yourself with anxiety. Exhaustion feels crappy and can make you whole body painful. I remember at my worst times, I was only able to sleep for 2 to 3 hours per night for a week sometimes. Everything feels like a big ask and your body feels painful and weird as if you are getting sick. Try some relaxation methods and get some rest. Treat yourself as if you where ill and rest.
