I’m on medication now (Buspirone and Lexapro), and it stopped the physical symptoms of anxiety but I still am having negative intrusive thoughts and I can’t stop them. They’re stressing me out, and scaring me, and now I’m not having the regular symptoms of them so it worries me even more. Has anyone else experienced this? I feel like I am going crazy. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Yea intrusive thoughts are pretty common. I still have them occasionally when I get over stressed or tired.

Its really your response to them that is making them an issue. If you can just see them as a strange thoughts due to a tired mind it will help you dismiss them quickly.

Everyone has strange thoughts you just have to learn to accept them when they come and not make anything more out of them.

Thanks for posting this. I have been having all kinds of worrisome thoughts lately. I’m going one hour at a time as not to over emphasize anything right now.

I can't count the amount of times I've had unwanted thoughts. I always fear I'm going to harm someone or myself. The thing is when we give these thoughts validity it's what feeds anxiety. Tell yourself there nothing more than a symptom of anxiety 99% of the time you will never act them out or they will never happen. I call it the what if scenario. What if I did this what if this happened? What if none of these thing's happen and we're sitting around worrying about **** that doesn't exist. I do realize it's hard and scary but it's the anxiety talking try not and listen.
