Let me preface this by saying that no one in my family has it that I know of. Both parents are still around, one 50 the other 54, still in solid health. One of my grandfathers has Parkinson's but is still around at 80, the other is in good health at 75. One of my grandmothers is alive and ok at 73 and the other just passed at 75 from Covid.

I know my family history pretty extensively (yay genealogy hobby!) and most live in to their 70's and die of natural causes. However I'm afraid that my grandfather with Parkinson's my have been misdiagnosed and actually have Huntington's. I have nothing to base that on but irrational fear.

I screwed up and watched some youtube videos, and one of the guys hands shake in a way kinda similar to how mine do when I first open them from a closed position (they settle pretty quick). I also have tons of muscle twitches (have for almost 13 years), and random limb jerks sometimes which makes me worry even though I've had them for over a decade.

I have a good friend who has Huntington's. They have a very good test that not only will confirm if you have it, but will also confirm if you'll get it in the future. It's rare that someone with health anxiety can get such a definitive answer to their irrational fear. So check with your doctor to see what the best route is to allay your fear.
