Long time since I made an introduction post on a forum. Male. From Ireland. Suffer from a lot of anxiety related issues. No doubt I will talk about them in other sections of the forum. For now it is good to be here.

So can I ask "what's your story"? Usually folks come here for their first time when in crisis.

No real crisis as such. Lot of anxiety issues. Housebound for over a decade a while back. Acid Relux on a near regular basis these days. Use another site, but the place is dead. I like interaction. Used to be on AnxietyZone. Stayed there till that placed closed down. Knew it was closing so had this other place I signed up on in advance. Owner of that place now owns the AZ domains name. But has not done anything with it at all. Simply leads you to the other site which is dead. But it is always good to have a place to come if needed. Have looked around for a while. No idea how active this place is. Saw some sections dating back a few years and no new posts made at all in them. We shall see as they say. But problems I do still have. Stay close to home a lot of the time. But do get out these days. When the Reflux hits it can lead to infections. Last time I ended up in hospital with it. Gastritis. Throwing up all day / evening. Guess we take each day as it comes. Hope nothing comes on.

Thanks for replying. I'm a semi-functional agoraphobic which for me means I don't leave home except for two purposely scheduled days per week, trying not to be a complete hermit. Emergencies excepted but otherwise I try to make sure to have no outside commitments.

I hear you. I done that for the decade. Guess I simply got fed up looking at the walls of the house. I began going on small walks and the likes. Been at this lark for close on 30 years and in that time I have seen many changes. Everything began with panic attacks. They don't bother me any more at all. Kind of like things evolve over time. We have one main thing that haunts us the most. Every few years something new might push its way in and become the new big thing. Taking the place of something else you used to fear. Acid Reflux was never an issue for me years ago. Now that is my big thing. More like GERD these days. Used to get it maybe twice a year a few years back. If I go a day without getting it I am happy. I count that as a good day. Honestly I never know when it will hit. Last time was the worst ever. Throwing up and all of that. Never had the side of things before. I am an emetaphobic too. ( Fear of throwing up ) You can imagine the fun of that day. But life has to go on. And with it we go on too.
