I'm just laying here in bed trying to get the anxiety to go away. Trying to breathe and think positive thoughts. Thank you for caring Rosy.

I'm having a rough day too. I feel down too but I know we will get over this so you are not alone. I'm hoping we both feel better tomorrow. I hope you have a good night.

Thanks Hurt and Hopeful, really means a lot. I think I may have burned myself out a bit. I Ubered six days straight and each day didn't eat breakfast or lunch. Only dinner. And during the day I would drink two Pepsi Zero's. Today is a rough day I went from taking no Valium to taking three today. I only Ubered for five hours today because the anxiety kept getting worse. I'm laying in bed in a panic thinking I'm going to have a relapse and end up committed again. I'm literally terrified.
hey butters...i havent read all the posts on here, just the last few but i can tell you. pepsi zero has more caffiene than a regular pepsi. you need to look out for "diet" or "zero" products. they typically have less calories but add it in somehow to the caffiene part...which is terrible for us that have anxiety or panic. i stick to water and (beer) only once a week for that ;) hope that helps...i googled it :)

Okay, this is where I yell at you. :) (kidding) - But seriously, if you want to get through this and get better, you HAVE to take good care of yourself, and that includes eating. My therapist once told me that I have to treat anxiety like diabetes - it's manageable, but if you don't take care of it, then you will have relapses. Nutrition is a big part of that. That doesn't mean you have to be perfect or eat a special diet, but getting healthy food and a healthy amount of sleep will make all of it easier.

I know that when I've gone through a really rough patch, I tend to overdo it afterwards to try to "make up" for the time lost - it doesn't work. It's like a crazy cycle where you crash, then speed up for a while, then crash again...I'm trying to get off that roller coaster right now. It makes me feel like I'm being mediocre, but I think that's a lie I tell myself - it's ok to ease back into things and not push yourself too hard. It's not a failure - it's being smart and being gentle with yourself. You've been through a trauma the past few weeks, and your body is recovering. Heck, you're probably still getting all the chemicals from the panic attacks out of your bloodstream. Give yourself some time to recover, focus on recovery by intentionally taking time to eat in the morning, do some breathing exercises before you go out, take breaks when you need to...

Okay, lecture over. :) I went full mom-mode there, sorry. haha - Just care about you, and want to see you take care of yourself!

So sorry you had a rough day, Rosy. :( Any particular reason why, or just anxiety? Thinking about you both, and praying you have a better day tomorrow.

Thank you Hurt, I think it is just my anxiety rearing it's ugly head. I feel a little better tonight. How are you doing? You sound better. Is that swelling down? Been thinking of you.

So sorry. :( I usually don't know what triggers anxiety, either. I feel like there usually is something, but I don't always know what it is. Hope you can get some rest tonight, and tomorrow is a new day! Yes, I'm hanging in there. Swelling is down, pain is getting more manageable each day. I think the worst is behind me (at least until I start physical therapy! ha!).

I hope we both get a good rest tonight. Just remember, the worst is over and you can get back to healing now.

Hi Butters. You need to start packing some bacon flavored granola bars. They're in the meat section.

Hope you are doing better man, I just recently got hit with anxiety and depression some of what I read is very similar to what I’m going through. Been to hospital twice thinking I was having a heart attack evidently I wasn’t I still seem to have disbelief maybe that missed something etc, I mean after all I know what I’m feeling the chest pains heart pains shortness of breath ringing in my ears stomach cramps and pains. I mean I’ve googled stuff who hasn’t all my symptoms are something heart related, and one side of my family has a history of young death and heart diseases deaths at 35-38-50 of heart attacks. Some of symptoms they were having I was having, what makes mine anxiety. This **** is affecting my job my relationship my life, I don’t have time to admit myself in anything I’ve slready racked up hospital bills. Did all I could think and went and got labs drawn from a doctor for cholesterol waiting to hear back from that. Just hope this is truly anxiety and not something like I think it may be.

Thanks man

Hey @Aaronbm2009 - Is this helpful at all? It was to me, so I thought I'd share. When I go through long periods of extreme anxiety, this is what's happening. You get scared or startled by something (like a health scare), and then your body flips on the sympathetic nervous system response and gets stuck there. There are ways to help "turn it off," so to speak....

Yep, me too - I spent about a month there earlier this year (back around July). So what comes after the intense hyper-anxious period for me is the crash in the black line - I feel like I can't get out of bed for a week or two. So I'm trying to work on that cycle, and get back to the normal ups and downs (the green line).

You are all so amazing. I read every post and read them carefully. It's so nice to have so many people in my corner. I'm back Ubering but not overdoing it. I still get the anxiety, always around 5:00pm for some reason. But at most I take two Valium throughout the day instead of the 8 to 10mg of Xanax I was taking. I will also definitely stop drinking the Pepsi Zero Scharley. Thank you. Thank you all.
