Hello friends.
Just thought I would share some insight on when doing something good can turn into a bad thing.

I recently found out I'm anemic and it's from donating blood every 56 days.
Over 2 years ago I signed up to give blood they told me you can donate every 56 days and we're in need.
Well just had labs and I'm chronically anemic.
They never said once you can't give just kept signing me up every 56 days.
Since 2018 I've given over 2 gallons and 4 pints so over 20 donations.

Sorry that it happened this way! Perhaps try donating every 90 days or so instead? Have you talked to your doctor about it? I know they stay on me hard to donate because I'm O negative but I also run toward a little bit of anemia as well.

No not really in past told me not to donate but one time a year if that.
I had my labs from over 18 months ago and giving caused this.
I can't give again for possibly 2 years until I'm back to normal.
Being anemic has caused a bunch of bad things like paresthesia of the face and itchy skin.

That sucks. Best to follow the doc's advice and take a few years off.
