Does Xanax do this?

I am in the middle of what I think is either anxiety symptoms or a possible neurological/nervous system issue. It includes head pressure, restlessness in jaw and pins/needle feeling in tongue and teeth, perceived weakness all over, and body trembles/shakiness.

So my question is would .50 mg - 1mg of Xanax be enough to totally mask or hide these symptoms if the source of the problem was something serious like MS or Parkinson’s. Bc it does calm down most of these symptoms for 6-8 hours usually, so this makes me lean towards just being anxiety.
I’m suppose to see a neurologist soon for a checkup just in case.

It wouldn't mask the symptoms of a serious illness. That is not what it is made for. It would only relax you and keep you anxiety under control. Small question of what are you like without Xanax? If you get the shakes and things like that, that might be simply a symptom of your anxiety. Nothing wrong in having a checkup. We have all had those done over the years. Just to rule out other things.

I guess my reason for asking is, if a Benzo would not mask or help with a serious condition like MS etc but it definitely helps with anxiety symptoms, then I am more likely suffering from symptoms brought on by anxiety rather than a central nervous disease. I will definitely see a neurologist though to confirm. Thank you
