I agree with you completely. I'm personally not working either and it definitely has taken a toll on me. My boyfriend and I argue about money and our finances. I feel terrible for not contributing more and they money I do make never seems to be enough. I feel bad for adding to his stress, but I'm stressed too. I have been exploring work from home ideas as an alternative to being broke. I haven't found anything that has alleviated my issue. Best of luck on the house sale.

YES yes and yes.

I grew up in a household where we weren't very well off...so as soon as I really understood money I would always try and save as much as I could...I've never had a really high paying job but I always tried to store a bit away. My husband right now is contemplating a career change in the next 12 months, and as he is our primary breadwinner and right now I am a SAHM I am pretty nervous and anxious about what that chapter will bring without the stability we have right now.

I worry about finances all the time that's why I took the first job that accepted me, I'm desperate like that. I no longer want to worry my parents and have them support me all the time because it's embarrassing. I'm an adult I should be able to take care of myself. These days I'm floating pretty well but I still have a financial crutch because of my high electric bill that I divide with my parents.

I think that is my greatest worry really. I haven't had a regular job for quite awhile partly due to anxiety reasons' date=' and my finances are really quite poor right now. I am trying to sell my house and buy one for cash so I don't have a mortgage payment to worry about, but it is slow going. I need to make some improvements to get top dollar, and really I don't have the cash to do so. i would say it contributes alot to my depression as well.[/quote']
I think this may just be the number one cause for anxiety and depression in the world. They say smoking kill but also poor finances IMO. We're all striving to achieve financial equilibrium and maintain it. Some have no financial problems and still manage to worry and depress over other things or even about not being able to consume at the level they would like.

Well this is one of the most biggest problem which some people are facing these days. Especially when you try to reach the top and during that time you totally forget about your limits and so you always have that pressure on you and you over think about almost everything. But that is the thing which some people forget about it! Later on they have that huge junk of thing going in their head and that is what causes more problems. This problem is very common now a days but i think that its also cure able if you calm down and think of something good. Its mostly because of financial issues and it can cause many problems later on. One of the biggest thing is that you should share your thoughts during that time with something special. It might help in many ways.

I would like to talk to someone who is non judgmental, most people just come up with obvious solutions like "get a job." Or get a better job, I mean sometimes it is not really quite that simple. Most people have things they are suited for occupationally and not others. ALso, you can apply for any number of jobs, that doesn't mean you are going to get them. I think that worries surrounding money and finances are not as easily resolved as other people would like to think they are.

I think that is the centre of most peoples anxiety. If you see your bank account getting thinner and there is no way of making it increase again can really cause a panic attack. Having to always count every last cent every month can lead to anxiety if something that wasn't foreseen pops up.

Definitely, spending a lot of money makes me anxious but I try to convince myself that everything is alright and money don't mean anything in the long run, I can make more money but worrying over finances will make me a weaker person and that takes more time to rebuild. I remember when I was a teenager and purchasing things made me anxious because I was on a thin budget, now I laugh at how silly I was worrying about small stuff.

I love spending money, and when I feel myself start to get anxious about it, I remind myself that money is like the air that we breathe. Money is energy and energy needs to flow. Money in and money out, just like the air that we breathe. If you take a deep breath in and not let the air out, you'll pass out. And there is never a shortage of air, it will always be there. No one ever stands outside trying to suck in as much air as they can into their lungs because they are afraid it's going to finish. This thought helps me on the rare occasions that anxiety creeps up on me when I spend money.

This is also another one the biggest things I worry about as well. About a year ago I moved into this new apartment and it's the first time that I haven't lived with my parents and I'm paying for everything. So it's hard to not worry about money especially when I"m the one who is paying for everything. It's nice because I have my boyfriend and roommate and we split the rent, but it's still not super cheap. So I worry about that a lot.

I worry about money, too, specially because my dad is no longer around and I happen to be a single parent. I haven't had a full time job for 2 years but I have a small business and I am supplementing my income with online gigs, but nothing that big to make me feel stable. Though I have enough funds to spend for food and other basic necessities at my current income level, I need to save more for the future because of my son's special needs. I have always been frugal, though, and that's the reason why we've managed to make it at my current earning capacity.

Money is one of the causes of relationship breaking up, arguments, and depression. Most of us can survive on less than we need, but it doesn't stop us worrying as we are led to believe we need things all of the time.

I have had money and lost it, and I realize that sometimes we can live with a lot less and cut back if we need to. I still worry about money, and even people with money worry about it. I'm not sure if people can ever be really secure, but you should try not to let money rule your life.

I was thinking perhaps instead of worrying about money, try to worry about becoming more productive someway, think in any business opportunity around your place or which kind of stuffs you can bring up to the table with your talents. Is not easy, and there is room for failure, but don't try to let it drag you.

I'm constantly worried about money. People often tell others to cut back to the bare necessities, but some of us have already cut back to those and are still struggling. I think a lot of people who are comfortable are unaware of how poor our economy is, and just how difficult it is for able-bodied people with skills to obtain employment, never mind those who are unable to work and struggling in a set income with rising prices. Is there a way you could borrow against the equity and use that money to fix up the place enough to get out from under it @kgord?

It also worries me a lot but I think this is something everybody has to deal with. The problem is when you're all alone by yourself and you have no help whatsoever, that's a very nervous situation because if you make a mistake, you're basically screwed. Remember to always have some money saved in case something urgent comes up.
