recently i’ve had a tight feeling near my belly button... and some gurgling cramps... i strain at times and feel some sorenes when moving bowels... i’ve had high cholesterol and have been eating more wheat, salmon, veggies, egg whites... weekends i cheat... i drink beer but not to excess (for the most part)... i often have thick white mucus all year round since around the time i turned 40 (a year or so)... clear my throat a lot... worry about aches and pains and often feel like i get frequent periods of being under the weather... been walking more but since this latest period of fears, i feel kind of unable to move sometimes... like i’m afraid to do anything... sometimes dizzy spells... just wanna curl up in bed but that makes me end up feeling even less energy...

What you're experiencing is aging.
Trust me I'm a male and just turned 39.
At 35 I was bullet proof and could eat anything and weight train 4 days a week and do jujitsu 12 hours a week.
Now only 5 hours if I'm lucky, also I can no longer eat as much as I used to or I will get constipation, indigestion and straining while having a bowel movement.
There is nothing wrong with you but you're noticing those things more because they're New.
If you are that worried get blood work i highly doubt anything is wrong.
Best to stay active even if you don't want too.

Just some advice to get your cholesterol down fast and help you with your bathroom issues. Eat more fruits veggies, grains, seeds, legumes just about every morning I have a bowl of oatmeal, with a banana or other fruit, ground flax seed and chia seed that's a real good start to meeting your fiber needs for the day. Fiber will benefit you in many ways shoot for 50 grams of fiber minimum per day it'll lower your cholesterol which helps the arteries stay clean and healthy, help to keep your heart healthy, you'll have smooth bm's, it'll help to keep your colon clean, helps to control blood sugar levels etc.

yes, at times... i ate two bowls of oatmeal this morning and had coffee and a donut, hoping to have a good bowel movement... i eventually did go a little, but was still constipated and didn't go as much as i thought i should... currently eating salad... but i feel bloated... in the lower abdomen and around the sides... i'm freaking out that it's a disease or obstruction of some kind...
i'm kind of crampy...
afraid that if i eat too much it will just pile up inside me and not come out...
i should drink water more... maybe that will help... i'm just kind of paralyzed with anxiety...

plain quakers with raisins...
Don't buy the packets they are processed garbage get the old fashioned oats and add your own raisins, dried cranberries, fruit etc to them. Give it sometime what you are eating sounds fine except for the doughnut. lol

actually it's the kind that comes in the container... i think the old fashioned kind... added my own raisins too... yeah, the doughnut is not the greatest for me... my weight is normal except i have high cholesterol since around the time i turned 40... i was able to get it down a great deal through exercise and diet... but i slacked off and it went back up... now i'm walking a lot more and eating fairly well... it's when i don't feel well that things fall apart and i just lay around and eat whatever... not really much junk food... the doughnut is usually a weekend thing... my weakness is bagels and cream cheese with lox... however, i have been eating wheat bagels during the week, and i don't smother the cream cheese on... i have pizza maybe once a week... otherwise, i have salmon a couple times a week, veggies, fruit, nuts, chicken, tuna, light popcorn, dark chocolate, egg white omeletes with lox or mushrooms, wheat toast with honey... cheerios with banana... recently raisin bran muffins... coffee every morning... i drink beer but not more than one or two on a weekday (if that)... wine sometimes... lately vodka with juice... sometimes overdo it on weekends... i don't drink soda... not enough water though...
did move my bowels since that earlier message... decent amount, but still strained a bit... still feel a little pain (hopefully from straining too much in general), and bloated feeling...

I think you should speak to your doc about depression.

PS I get bloated when I drink too much alcohol.

Depression is definitely discussed... This digestive system thing is scaring me though... Feeling this dull ache/bloated feeling in my abdomen after I eat... The bowel movements are a combination of healthy looking and thin in the same movement... So confused... Probably will make another appointment soon...
