Hi everyone,
Just wondering does anyone else here experience derealization too? Feeling like life is a dream and everything seems strange. I also find that being alone makes this Much worse. Can anyone relate?

Had it years ago when my anxiety / panic attacks first began. Way I always put it is that I simply got used to it. I stopped fearing it. Then it vanished. Never had it again. There is no miracle cure for it. Just another anxiety symptom. I am sure in time it will just vanish for you too.

Hi thanks for your reply, do you think it could be a sign of an actual serious illness or it’s just another symptom of anxiety

Being around people does help you feel more grounded, since it distracts your brain. In the same way, hobbies help as well! Anything that needs concentration works.
I don't experience this too often, but I do experience it when my anxiety really spikes.

It is not a sign of a serious illness. It is just another symptom of anxiety. Trust me on this one. I simply stopped worrying about it and it went away. I never had it again.

Yes! Mines been pretty bad the past couple of days and I’m on vacation in Vegas so it’s hard to enjoy it!!

I’ve found when I’m distracted it goes away, but my mind obsesses over the thought then it puts me back in the loop.

I’ve gotten out of it before and I’m hopeful I can get out of the feeling again. You can too. But know you’re not alone and it’s just from the anxiety!

Cheers!

Thanks for the reply I have previously gotten rid of it too but sometimes it’s hard to imagine you’ll feel normal again
