I have night time sleep anxiety. It’s terrible. I am fine to sleep during the day, so try to have a nap every chance I get.

If you listen to some of the utter rubbish on some so called 'experts' advice you will go from bad to worse. They are all opinions and ninety nine times out of a hundred are misinformed. There is no substitute for experience in anxiety, and if they have not been there how can they know, otherwise it's all theory. Google is a good example of this and invariably many will cash in on other's suffering by suggesting various ways of a 'cure' for anxiety, at a cost of course! Don't fall for it. Listen to your doctor or some other professional with accredited qualifications. On that amazing website in Canada, 'anxietycentre' they only employ counsellors who know what anxiety is like from personal experience. Everyone on this site knows only too well. It's why you can always share and talk without fear of criticism or judgement. As for lack of sleep causing heart problems, that again is only theory, there is nothing proven at all.
If you can accept that insomnia will occur in a setback, which is what you have, then you may calm down. I know how thoughts can go through the mind like a herd of elephants at night when we want to sleep. Let them, but accept that's how it will be for the moment. It's because you are giving those thoughts attention that they plague you so much.

I struggle with sleep anxiety as well as insomnia. I found the YouTube channel ‘Sleep Coach School’ to be of some help. He is a former sleep DR and has episodes on sleep and your health-he is very reassuring.

I take 9mg of quick dissolve Melatonin before I go to bed, and it has helped me. If I really have trouble, I take a CBD gummy, which really does the trick for me.

What kind of sleep anxiety was it? The kind where you are just about to fall into a sleep and wake up shaking thinking your heart stopped or you stopped breathing in your sleep? I’ve had that before and it usually happens multiple times in a night, but will go away and not happen for a long time.

actually mine was i woke in middle of the few times back then there was no problem but when i found post about irregular sleep can cause heart problem whenever i wake up in middle of night i get anxious about thinking if i keep on waking up and sleeping this will cause heart problem because if this im having anxious thougts and loosing my sleep and thus those cycle repeats.

Mine is exactly as you describe..I have difficulty falling asleep itself thinking I will forget to breathe in my sleep. And that tight feeling while just about to go into deep sleep wakes me up with a jolt. It sucks to be honest
. But your last line.."it will go away and not happen for a long time" seems reassuring. Thank you!!
