Sorry you are having these feelings. I too, worry about it. One thing that seems to have helped somewhat is that I quit watching any news. Maybe it is like sticking my head in the sand, but most news outlets just stoke fear and anxiety. There is nothing that I can do about what is going on in the news so I tuned it out. Try to focus on a hobby and listen to your favorite music. Anxiety sucks and I deal with it every day, but I do feel somewhat better since I have stopped watching any news. Best wishes! Can anybody help? Lately I have noticed the fear increasing perhaps with covid deaths always on the news? I am in my 30’s but have a constant fear of dying. I believe it’s a problem if it affects your life daily which it does for example I can get an anxiety type attack where I feel weak and worry I am dying or I just feel on the edge or not relaxed? When I am at work this reduces my anxiety. I was hoping to do more CBT however the therapist ignored my emails and it says she is only doing video calls anyway which isn’t quite as useful. Each day I worry will it be my last day? Or I get awful thoughts of dying of something awful in my head. Has anybody got any tips I am sort of trying to figure out why I feel this way maybe the pandemic often I have a foreign holiday to look forward to but often with limited things to do I have more time to worry? Often I worry am I really living through all this but again perhaps it’s covid making it worse?
Have you tried taking Melatonin in the evening to help you fall asleep? I found that it helps and also read an article that it can help against COVID, but not sure how accurate that is.Most of my anxiety seems to come at night right now any ideas why? I can manage work but at night as soon as I come home I feel restless worrying avoid dying and Covid vaccines that’s my trigger but can’t get it out my head?
Someone mentioned melotonin. Benadryl also helps you sleep. What do you do at night to keep your mind busy? I like South Park and Red Dwarf reruns. Porn also works. Most of my anxiety seems to come at night right now any ideas why? I can manage work but at night as soon as I come home I feel restless worrying avoid dying and Covid vaccines that’s my trigger but can’t get it out my head?
Yes well today I just felt really run down and sort of depersonalised? The chest thing was other day never lasted long. Can anxiety make you feel run down all day?During periods of high anxiety, I had chest tightness that went into my arm and eventually into my hand. I think it has something to do with blood flow to the limbs being reduced as part of the body's natural fight-or-flight response.
At work, your mind is occupied by your work tasks. At night when nothing else is pulling your attention, your mind goes back to that thing that you've been obsessing about.
You mentioned paying attention to your breathing. Are you afraid that you'll just suddenly stop breathing for some inexplicable reason?
It certainly can. Anxiety can wear down your serotonin.Yes well today I just felt really run down and sort of depersonalised? The chest thing was other day never lasted long. Can anxiety make you feel run down all day?
