Does anybody ever feel obsessed with breathing like always aware of it? Sometimes I can sit and woot myself into a panic attack due to it?

It can happeem. Irregular breathing. You can become fully aware of every breath. Which is never a good thing. Best to try and focus on anything else.

what we have to remember is to live everyday like it is our last. we don't know what could happen any second. live a life you want to remember. i get why you would watch the news - to be aware what is going on but, if it is causing you too much stress just avoid it. know your triggers.
do something else

Night time is a quiet time. Is dark. You can be alone with your thoughts. I always have a radio on at night. Distracts me from any thoughts at all.

Can anybody help? Lately I have noticed the fear increasing perhaps with covid deaths always on the news? I am in my 30’s but have a constant fear of dying. I believe it’s a problem if it affects your life daily which it does for example I can get an anxiety type attack where I feel weak and worry I am dying or I just feel on the edge or not relaxed? When I am at work this reduces my anxiety. I was hoping to do more CBT however the therapist ignored my emails and it says she is only doing video calls anyway which isn’t quite as useful. Each day I worry will it be my last day? Or I get awful thoughts of dying of something awful in my head. Has anybody got any tips I am sort of trying to figure out why I feel this way maybe the pandemic often I have a foreign holiday to look forward to but often with limited things to do I have more time to worry? Often I worry am I really living through all this but again perhaps it’s covid making it worse?
Sorry you are having these feelings. I too, worry about it. One thing that seems to have helped somewhat is that I quit watching any news. Maybe it is like sticking my head in the sand, but most news outlets just stoke fear and anxiety. There is nothing that I can do about what is going on in the news so I tuned it out. Try to focus on a hobby and listen to your favorite music. Anxiety sucks and I deal with it every day, but I do feel somewhat better since I have stopped watching any news. Best wishes!

More time to think. The mind is less distracted. All day you are doing things. Keeping the mind busy. That all goes once you come home from work.

Have you tried taking Melatonin in the evening to help you fall asleep? I found that it helps and also read an article that it can help against COVID, but not sure how accurate that is.

Does anybody get a blocked nose when a panic attack comes on? My nose often goes very connected and can take an hour or more to calm down?

Someone mentioned melotonin. Benadryl also helps you sleep. What do you do at night to keep your mind busy? I like South Park and Red Dwarf reruns. Porn also works.

Pains in my hand like throbbing I get a few and they stop? Is this anxiety?
Feeling restless and walking up and down?

During periods of high anxiety, I had chest tightness that went into my arm and eventually into my hand. I think it has something to do with blood flow to the limbs being reduced as part of the body's natural fight-or-flight response.

At work, your mind is occupied by your work tasks. At night when nothing else is pulling your attention, your mind goes back to that thing that you've been obsessing about.

You mentioned paying attention to your breathing. Are you afraid that you'll just suddenly stop breathing for some inexplicable reason?

Yes well today I just felt really run down and sort of depersonalised? The chest thing was other day never lasted long. Can anxiety make you feel run down all day?

It certainly can. Anxiety can wear down your serotonin.

Hi Phil fancy running into you here

Do you really need to post the same concerns on 8 different forums?

I thought the answers given on the forum where you are Phil06 were very good without you needing to repeat them here. Is it fair on the folk who are giving their time to help? How about some reciprocation? You are not the only pebble on Brighton beach
It certainly can. Anxiety can wear down your serotonin.
I guess that's one way of explaining it

There is a lot of good research out these days about the effects of stress hormones on brain cells (and their neurotransmitters serotonin and noradrenaline) which contribute to anxiety

I'll post a link later

I’ve had this anxiety. I’ve kind of learned to overcome it. They say face your fears. I’ve faced it in that I never even liked to say the “d” word, but now I say it. I also started reading about near death experiences. Very fascinating stuff. It helps by reading about it and not getting anxiety over it. It worked for me, but I don’t know if it would for anyone else.

Also, when feeling random aches and pains that are anxiety related, focusing on anything else magically makes it go away. Believe me, I’ve been there. Even just talking to someone about anything random, can get your mind off of it and you don’t notice it.

Anxiety can physically exhaust you. I think because you tense up your whole body and then when the anxiety finally subsides, your muscles finally relax but hurt from being tensed.

I have been feeling this way again. With COVID and Price Philips death I have been feeling bleak. I worry about family dying or myself each day I worry about it I know that’s not really healthy maybe a therapist will help? Things are opening up now so maybe I will feel a bit better? If we get over this covid thing maybe I will have a good future without worrying so much?
