I would say ' Yes ' to that, if he put his finger right up. That is the normal way they check prostrate. If he done it that way and felt nothing, you have no need to worry at all. If he just looked and nothing else, then ' No ', would be my answer. In other words a finger up the rear end by the doctor and he would know all.

Hi Football,
Yes, he would have felt something else such as hemorrhoids. Fissures are normal and can be painful. It might feel like you have a paper cut on your anus. It's like a sharp sting. They will cause some light red blood on stool but nothing serious. If you have sitz bath, I'd recommend sitting in that (warm water with epsom salt) twice a day (morning and before bed). If you don't have one, you can get one at a pharmacy! I highly recommend them! Also, try to not wipe with toilet paper too much. I keep baby wipes around with me at all times. You can't flush them, but they are far more gentle than toilet paper, no matter how soft it claims to be. I use the Aqua Pure baby wipes from Pampers. It's just water - no harsh chemicals. Good luck to you!

If he indeed put his finger up the ol' caboose, yes, he would have found other abnormalities while he was there. They can tell while they take a look.
Trust me, that's never fun to feel that, but at least you know the cause of the bleed now.
Now hopefully you can work on getting that dignity back LOL. ;)
