I am scheduled to receive the Covid Vaccine next Tuesday ...... actually scared to death .... don’t know what I will do .... my severe health anxiety makes me afraid of the effects and all that anxiety that goes with taking meds ,... I am terrified but I am also terrified of getting Covid ..... any suggestions?

Which one would have the worst outcome? Catching Covid or any small side effects from a vaccine that might stop you getting Covid?

In the US almost 30,000,000 doses have been administered. No deaths. Nothing I’ve heard about serious side effects and even if there have been some, it’s extremely rare.

Compare that to COVID. Over 10% of the US population has been infected. Even if you do everything right, there’s way more risk, unless you never leave your house, than the risk of getting a vaccine side effect. If you get COVID, it’s a crap shoot whether you’ll get no, mild or awful symptoms.

Theres nothing to it, but to do it. I cannot wait until I’m eligible. I’ll be the first in line.

I got my first dose last week. I got Pfizer. I only had arm soreness. I work in public health and you will be fine.

Getting a shot that hasn’t been around too long can be scary! But I think it’s scarier than getting COVID or possibly infecting someone really vulnerable. The vaccine isn’t really new science though the funding finally became available to finish it.

My mother in law is immune compromised and got the vaccine and got a fever and felt sick for a while but then she was fine. That’s like worst case scenario and if you don’t have severe underlying conditions then you’ll be fine and even if you do you might feel crummy but then be fine! Good luck!

I had both shots and aside from the mild arm pain and headache I was fine. I am 2 months in and I haven't noticed anything unusual.
