So I went outside into my driveway today and it was raining. Experts have been saying the coronavirus can be transmitted through droplets. What about rain droplets? Can one catch coronavirus from the rain? Is it only safe to step outside when it is sunny? There is no information about this on the internet whatsoever, but I did come across this article from 2018. While it isn't specifically about coronavirus, it does give me concern.

Can a Virus Spread Via the Rain?

Experts are now starting to say that coronavirus can survive in the air for a long time, and you can even catch it simply by breathing where someone else has breathed. Because this virus is so new, seems everyone is low on critical information right now, including the experts. So I'm concerned that as they find out more and more about this virus and how it can be transmitted, we'll realize all the ways we've been putting ourselves at risk that we have no idea about at the present moment.

It’s been studied that using a humidifier stops virus droplets in the air by 89% I would imagine, if anything, the rain would help slow it down.
