Ive been having palpitations for the past 2 days and I feel very tense and then get freaked out every time it happens. Can this be anxiety related?

Hii.
Heart palpitations are one of the most common symptom of anxiety, and its brought on by the fight or flight instinct in your body. I can't tell you how many palpitations I've suffered over these past few months, but I'm still here living and breathing to tell the tale if that puts your mind at ease lol. Do you take any chronic meds? If so that can cause the palpitations. I would suggest just calming down and telling yourself the palpitations will soon go away, & are not indicative of any serious issue. Your heart will keep beating no matter what ;) just stay calm.

Also palpitation sufferer here. Palpitations usually cannot hurt you, and most of the times they don't mean underlying heart issues. I have had my heart checked out before, and apparently the palpitations aren't as noticeable as I thought they were, when the monitor is up. Still alive and well today. You'll be okay, allow palpitations to exist, don't think about them, since it is possible for anxiety to trigger more palpitations that stresses you out and create a vicious cycle.

Hi, I also have palpitations. In the moment I'm convinced I'm having a heart attack but then I realise what it is and can get myself off the edge of panic by taking a few deep breaths and distracting myself. It's really scary so I totally empathise with you. A tight chest can also be a symptom of anxiety.
Relaxaction techniques are supposed to help (although this is easier said than done and I just end up flinging lavendar oil all over the place to encourage zen! Ha)
