Beginning from may 17th i spooked myself with a bp reading i took from a home device. Since then i started to suffer left sided or right sided pain but would favor my left side.
I tried to change diet and be more active but the pains persisted. Since june 12th ive had to suffer with the chest pains, headaches, drowsiness and loss of appetite. both of the physicians that cared for me said it couldnt be anything serious because of how long its been going on and the random location of the pain. Is this really all in my head? I like to think so since the pain gets worse if i dwell on it. Any insight is greatly appreciated

Hi viv, welcome to the forum first of all. We are happy to have you here.
Believe it or not, it is both in your head and in your body. Anxiety has the capability to actually produce physical symptoms, and I think it is safe to say based on what you are telling us, the BP reading that spooked you created this anxiety and the symptoms you are feeling in turn.
As someone who has suffered too, whenever something related to a certain part of my body causes anxiety, I feel symptoms in that same exact spot. It is just how anxiety works.
I tell most people this here on the forum, we health anxiety sufferers must learn to trust our doctor's word. They went to school for that stuff, we didn't. It is fairly safe to say that because the chest pain has lasted as long as it has and you are posting on this forum, it is nothing serious that needs attention. Headaches, drowsiness, and loss of appetite can also be caused by anxiety.
Is this the first time that you have experienced anxiety? Or has this anxiety been an ongoing issue?
Hope you can find comfort in this post :)

Yes it does bring some comfort. This is the first time i expierenced anxiety and i wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy. The worst 3 months of my life. For the better part of june i suffered my first panic attack and some. Constantly suffering from the same symptoms i mentioned and these awful pulsations i feel when im on edge. As i typed this im currently in pain and exhuasted since yesterday night. My brother has been suffering from chest pains recently too, although for him it has been in the center down. he doesnt seem to suffer from anxiety. He came home the other day and explained what the doc evaluated. He had a heart murmur nothing conclusive but it certainly put me on edge. Hes only 16 and im 22. I only had an EKG and that came out normal. I constantly go back and forth thinking its either bowel or heart related since i burp at weird times like after lying down and sitting straight and then having to belch and occasionally feel a burning sensation in my stomach and chest. The burning sensation is a new symptom maybe from anxiety? Im just so tired of this pain.... it really hurts and these headaches make it worse because i feel like fainting.

Thank you. Last night when i posted this was the worst night ever. I was desperate enough to call 911 last night. I asked for my vitals and i seemed fine just really on edge. I calmed down after going back inside but 4 hours later i felt worse again. Here we are now 7 am i feel like **** still, no sleep no rest.

I'm dealing with it from 2015, cardio and pneumo said it's anxiety :( I think it would be strange if I was without chest pain...

Where do you mostly feel it? Sometimes its random for me. It can be on my right side but it really sticks to my left side just around my abdomen.

Im sorry to hear that man how are you feeling today have you gotten some rest? Your adrenaline and hormones must be super wacky today after a long fight with anxiety last night i know i stayed up tell about 5ish same reason fell asleep great woke up a little on edge and exersiced for about an hour now im being dramatic with the the chest tingles and hyoerventalating cause i panic over heart stuff but i fought it off hopfully make some healthy food soon and try to relax a little bit i think ive called 911 one time before when i started hyperventalating have you ever studied cbt? Or thoyght about getting cognitive behaviour therapy? The main goal is to not award behaviour during high anxiety ie checking pulse hyperventalting approving little changes in the body with stress and attention it helps alot it seems like it doesnt but the less you focus on your body and panic and more on the things sounds and feelings around you ive notice makes anxiety last alot less.

You'd be surprised at how easy it is to strain a muscle from laying weird sleeping weird to just stretching. Do you exercise much ? Lack of exercise can cause arthritis witch can be the little bits of pain in the bone areas and numbness. You could also glad up your cartilage by hyperventalting do you do breathing exercises ?

Right side, next to the sternum. All docs said is skeletal muscle pain, and anxiety does the rest. When I go to the gym, it fades, but now I didn't have time for 8 months to go, so the pain is back.

Yeah i went over to my step bros and his wife and i had a long convo and she understands my symptoms. She gave me some xanax and some supplements and for now the pain is gone. I might be able to sleep now. Also i agree with the advice you mentioned. A friend of mine gave me the same advice and some. It definitely works but seeing as ive only been suffering for a month and a half im still new to controlling my anxiety

Oh, does anxiety makes it worse? If i let anxiety eat into me i would feel sharp pain when i breathe.

Yeah talking about it definitely helps, and knowing someone that also suffers from it is even better.

Talking about it helps, and don't forget, benzodiazepines have also a myorelaxant effects (relaxes muscles).
