It really helps to actually really helps to get up and do something because then you don't even notice your physical symptoms, they disappear. I'm actually thinking now how I was obsessed with colon cancer, it seemed like the only logical explanation - how ironic- and then i seriously thought I had a brain tumour. Now those fears have gone but i cant seem to shake this leukemia thing, my mind has a vice grip on it
you'll let it go just like the other worries you've had. it's the same exact thing this time... just a slightly different presentation!

Yeah it should pass sooner or later. Also, can you still experience anxiety even if you feel calm and think you're in a normal frame of mind?

i can only speak for myself, but yes. the good news is that the better control you have over your anxiety, the easier it is to defuse it when it rears it's ugly head.

I'm 19, and for a few months now I've had an issue with constipation. I always have the urge to go to the toilet but when I do, nothing comes out, but then in a few days it'll get better and i make a bowel movement normally but it keeps alternating between this and constipation. Either nothing will come out or I'll only pass a tiny amount of stool which is dark brown. No blood and no tummy cramps.
I keep thinking this is colon cancer and its freaking me out. I also lost some weight which I've been told is due to chronic meds I'm on as well as not eating properly, but now I'm thinking that what if i tumour has been growing in my colon since last year and now I'm showing the symptoms??? :( I did have a blood test in July that was normal, would it have picked up anything that points to cancer? Also can cancer symptoms come and go??
Lately i have been feeling very anxious so i think this issue can be attributed to that, but i still cant seem to convince myself that i don't have a tumour somewhere slowly killing me...
I have been exactly where you are now. Mine started with lower right abdomen pain, the blood test that they do to check for inflamation in the body are fecal crp and esr, but the crp is a lot more accurate. I had a lot of blood tests, ultrasound and a colonoscopy. my health anxiety took over and I just kept going to the doctors until they did the colonoscopy. Any other person would have been contempt with bloods been normal. But not us who suffer from health anxiety. My colonoscopy was clear. They took 11 biopsies. Painfull with only gas and air. My anxiety affects my colon, it get worse when I feel my self getting anxious. They think it is IBS So try not to worry and let it take over your life.

Yeah i relate to this. Even if everything is fine i still think "noo what if they missed something? What if there was a problem that caused the test to be inaccurate??" And unfortunately, my brain seems wired in a way where I 100% believe I'm dying and thats it. Lovely....

Thanks, this helped me. Unfortunately, this morning I have another fear....For a month or so now I've had allergies with a lot of phlegm, and this morning i coughed some up and it was yellow. I read that leukemia sometimes presents as cold flu like symptoms so now i fear i could have that :(
I have allergies and chronic sinus problems with phlegm like you described. It’s normal for it to be yellow for allergies and colds. You could talk to your doc about allergy medicine. Try to let this fear go. Your symptoms are very common. :)
