I woke up the morning feeling not so great. For the past month I barley sleep at all. I wake up constantly. Now after being awake for several hours I am suddenly freezing. My hands and feet are like popsicles. I’m dizzy and just don’t feel great. Another symptom of aniexty or something else. I’m terrified of seizures, I had one after a allergic reaction to medication a year ago and since then this is really my only fear. I was fully aware for the whole thing and it was terrifying. Now it’s my only fear. As stupid as it sounds I would rather have anything else wrong with me as long as there were no seizures. I seriously feel like I’m going to have one I’m so dizzy and my head is tight. I read lack of sleep can cause seizures and I’m just really afraid. Has anyone had this.

The difficulty in your situation I suppose is, that the more stressed and anxious you get, the more likely a seizure might become. Also you are feeling cold, because you are not sleeping properly and your body goes into a safety mode. I remember that when I was unable to sleep I got cold a lot, also got ill easier. Your body is basically telling you that you need to take a step back and relax a bit. Take some time off work or school and only do things that you want to do, or just sleep the whole day, which would be good too.

What do you mean the more anxious and stressed I am the more likely I am to have a seizure. This really freaks me out! I read stress when cause seizures but I thought only in extreme, extreme stressful circumstances, like your so stressed you can’t do anything.

That is if you are an actual epileptic. You explained that you had a seizure during or after an allergy reaction. Have you been tested for epilepsy?

Oh! No this was a freak accident I was tested after and have no family history. It was just a serve allergic reaction. It happened a year ago and I haven’t had it since, I’m just terrified I will again. Every time I feel sick my first and only worry is seizure but I’m not epileptic.
