I have been prescribed clonazepan for my anxiety. My doctor wants me to take it as a PRN when I feel my anxiety coming on and also nights that I am having trouble trying to sleep. When I picked up the script it says on the bottle .5 2x a day. And everywhere I read it says take it regularly. Should I be listing to the doctor or the recommendation on the medication.

You should definitely be listening to your doctor about when to take the meds. Every person is different and the instructions on the bottle are just a guide.

Your doctor is treating you. He knows what is best for you and your personal problem. All people are different and we cannot put the world's human race into just one category. so take the dosage as and when he tells you to. If you find that it's not right or not working then go back to the doctor and tell him. If you are not happy with your doctor then you can always change you doctor and see a different one.
