Does anyone have any advice for the anxiety chest pain and body tightness that can help you relax I feel like my body has been in flight mode for a month now. I even had to go to the hospital for a mental evaluation. I am on attarax till my doctor can see me Monday and find something to begin my journey of treatment. I’ve recognized I can no longer do it on my own. I need to rewire my brain and learn how to think and not obsess and see negative only. I’m hoping to try the medication buspar my brother in law is on it and says the side affects go away first week and are very mild. I also just have feeling so tense and like I’m on a boat.

Deep breathing, meditation, try to relax... Hopefully that will help.

Best thing to try and understand is it is just anxiety. The mind might think it is something worse. Thus we get into more of a panic over it. Is only when we accept it for what it really is, that it can become a little easier. Anxiety. Nothing more. Can be hard if a person has never had treatment before. The mind can be racing. Head full of thoughts. Frightening as well for some. You are doing the right thing by seeking out help. Something we all had to do in the past. That is the first step to accepting things. Hope it can work out well for you.

Thank you. It is nice knowing I’m not alone. im also going to be going to talk therapy as well. I just couldn’t do it alone anymore. My faith as a Christian keeps me going but I realized I’m just getting by not thriving.

I think we need to mix both if into Religion. Prayers and medical help. Praying in itself is good. It can bring comfort. But sadly there are times when we know we need a little bit more. Nothing wrong with having both. Bit of medication, bit of therapy and a lot of God. I have no doubt that combination will work just fine for you.

Thank you. Sucks cause my entire body has felt so stiff and like constant feeling a Charlie horse coming on. Last night I went to bed with a cramping sharp pain under left armpit my husband is like be rational did you lay funny and it’s a cramp. Your whole body is tense I’m like it hurts in chest he goes well you’ve had very bad gas pains and anxiety causes chest pressure. I wish I could think like that and let go :(

I have really bad heart anxiety as well. I am doing cognitive therapy and it works wonders. Unfortunately, I've had several traumatic events happen within the last couple months and it has come back. I am working with my therapist again to get myself in a better place. God definitely keeps me going and I am thankful I found a Christian counselor as well.

I find like my faith and prayer pulls me out when I’m drowning.
