I was stripping the paint off some models today, I soaked them in alcohol, and when I was working with them I noticed that it had made them soft and pliable. They models are made of a type of polystyrene.

I'm worried that since the alcohol had made them soft they may have leached some of the chemicals out on to my skin. I only handled one because once I noticed this I stopped. I think I was wearing gloves as well but don't entirely recall.

Am I over worrying this?

That would be a very long shot. Talking clutching at straws type of long shot. Just your mind fearing something it knows might be bad if it were possible. Nothing else. You are fine. Try and put it out of your mind. Relax it up a little.

As long as you didn’t drink the alcohol, your okay.
