Cancer adds on tv drive me crazy

I just need to vent. Evertime i watch tv i see a add about lymphoma and round up. It makes me anxious i turn the channel i wish they would stop with that we are all well aware. Part of my job is spraying invasive species so it home. I have a lymph node behind my ear that swells and hurts sometimes and after the add i felt a larger mass probably muscle but none the less here comes anxiety.

Never nice to watch. But these days there are more of them. Because not everybody has regular checks. Simply fact. I think a good lot are aimed at males. Most of whom never bother at all getting checked out. We are also aware that smoking causes cancer and other illnesses. But you should see a pack of smokes here in Ireland. Graphic images of the harm smoking can do. More a shock tactic. Try and frighten people out of smoking and having regular check-ips. What I hate to see is the videos of cruelty to animals. I love animals. I am earing. I don't wish to look at such graphic images and videos. It is all about awaeness though. Flood us with it to drive their message home.

I agree it can be frustrating, but I'd recommend changing how you react to those things. Triggers are going to exist everywhere. You can't eliminate them, and you can't always avoid them. Thus it's best to address the root of the problem, which is anxiety and its irrational thoughts.

You know they want to start putting graphic images on alcohol here in Ireland. They are never going to stop. The effects it has on people and all of that. Can of beer and a graphic image.

In Canada (thanks socialized medicine), such TV ads are not permitted. But man, put on CNN or MSNBC and literally 1/2 the commercials are for some drug for all kinds of ailments. Along with ridiculous jingles meant to have you recall the name of the medicine, so you can run to your doctor and demand that drug. I'm with you Vandel.

Radio is just as bad - heard a commercial about "women's cancers" - some doctor giving the symptoms for every type of reproductive cancer. It's awful.

I FELT THIS ON A DIFFERENT LEVEL! I'll see a cancer ad and be like is this a sign?!
