I said I wouldn't come on again. I'd tough it out. But I get scared as always.
Back onto my breathing. I gst so nervous because I feel like I'm near suffocating. Not getting enough air. Like hungry for it. Its so uncomfortable and unsettling. Even when I swallow and hiccup for a second, and stop breathing for those times, I get scared. I tend to gulp out of nervousness. And its been going on all day.
I'm trying to de-catastrophize, like my therapist said.
I've had multiple heart and lung blood tests, a chest x ray, ct of my head, EKG, and ecg. All have come back completely normal.
Butttt. I worry about things. Small things. Like my numb toe. Or this itchy spot below my collarbone that itches from time to time. Or my weak limbs. Or my clicking jaw.
All things I catastrophize into cancers and diseases and infections.. ect ect.
I just.. ugh.

I answered a post on breathing before. Maybe read the reply to that post. It will be the exact same.

I've had similar problems recently.

I always have breathing troubles during the warmer seasons and this is no different. But it still triggers my anxiety every time. Especially at night, because sometimes it feels like I stop breathing in my sleep and I wake up gasping. And it's started to bother me again

I see I see. I just hate it. It's all day thing for me. Its a tight feeling around my heart. Or just like the breathe I'm taking aren't enough.

That's exactly what it feels like for me too, sometimes it even feels like i'm short of breath and end up thinking I have heart disease even though it stops roughly when autumn is close by.

I see I see. Gives me some peace of mind. How long have you had this?

Apologies for the very late response.

If i remember correctly, since i was in my early teen years. Perhaps even longer.
Its okay. I see I see. I've just been over thinking my breathing. I've convinced myself I have the Cheyne Stokes breathing pattern. Or the dead or dying pattern moreso. Worrying me lots.

I have always felt like I breathe abnormally it freaks me out. I feel like even when I’m not anxious at all it’s hard for me to breathe and I have long pauses in between breathes and they are heavy and slow

I have felt the same exact way since my panic episode four weeks ago when I was hyperventilating. It is as if I felt as if I forgot how to breathe. Have any of you seaked any help from doctors, psychologist, etc. Taken up any yoga or mediation or mindfullness breathing? I’m just concerned because I consistently read about people that have struggled with this issue and it has lingered for years.

I've been seeing a therapist, and have seen a phyciatrist and physiologist. I try to follow their advice, and then I continue to panic. Think they are lying. Or that my breathing is too abnormal.
