I have been sick for going on a month now. It started in the middle of Nov. Me and my wife and my kids all came down with the stomach bug. We got it one after the other and it lasted a day or two. Basically we spent all day in the bathroom and then slept it off the next day and we were fine. Well about 3-4 days after that my wife started showing respiratory symptoms. Coughing, nose blowing, phlegm and all that. The next day I got it too. We thought it was just a common cold coming on because of weakened immune system with the stomach bug. Well it has been almost a month now. The weird thing is it comes and goes for both of us. We have times where we can run up the stairs and not miss a beat and then we have times where we stand up and we feel winded. I don't know what to make of it. I just took my temp and it was 99.5 which is slightly high but I don't think it's pneumonia high, or really even bronchitis high. My temp is usually alittle high anyway and stays around 99-99.2
My other big fear is I have been having a racing heart. It comes and goes, sometimes I can feel it pounding in my chest like it wants out, and other times it is much more mellow and I basically forget about it until something reminds me again. Of course I did the really stupid thing of googling heart racing with bronchitis and one of the headlines was something like " imagine thinking you just have bronchitis and ending up fighting for you life" so that ofcourse set me up for about a half hour long panic attack.
I just don't understand how any type of respiratory illness would come and go like it has been. My wife doesn't have a fever. My kids have runny noses and slight coughs but they are still running through the house and playing and acting like nothing is bothering them.
