I got a bottle of a liquid anti anxiety supplement from the store and I noticed it didn't have an outer or inner safety seal. I drank one serving and then started to worry that maybe I shouldn't have. I called the store and they said the other bottles are sealed. I can't stop worrying that someone might have poisoned it. Am I being paranoid? Is there a more likely explanation for no safety seal being on my bottle when the other ones were sealed? This happened a little while ago but I can't stop worrying for some reason.

Hi there @Majaks it's nice to meet you and welcome!

If this happened a little while ago I think you would have known by now if it had been poisoned. The store should also have refunded your money or exchanged it for you which is your consumer rights.

I don't think you need to worry about it Majaks as you only drank one measure. When you think about something all the time, your mind will keep bringing it back to you. When you find it coming into your mind, make a conscious effort to put something else in your mind instead. It can be anything like ice cream or any image at all. Eventually, your mind will stop thinking about it.

HI . How are you? It takes about 6to 8 hours for food and beverage or anything else to digest. And less time for your body to absorb chemical's like what's found in medication. If you haven't suffered from it by now... then your probably in the clear.

Thanks for the response! I did exchange it for a bottle that was sealed...The store wasn't sure how that happened to the seal on my bottle. I just keep trying to figure out some reasons for that happening other than poisoning. Can you think of any? I will try your method of thinking of something else when I start to worry about it..I need to get over this for sure

It can be scary with anything that we consume to know what has happened with it before we get to consume it. You don't need to forget it completely. But you do need to stop harping on about it in your mind.

Remember it by checking the seals on things you buy in the future, but put it out of your mind otherwise.

To think how it could have lost its seal in the first place, ??? Hmmm, how about someone went to the store, and opened it to smell it, then screwed up the lid and put it back? Then the staff would not have known about it until you went to the store and bought it.

Another reason, perhaps you opened it and forgot? I doubt that, but sometimes I can do things and forget.

The main thing is that luckily, and thanks to God, that it hadn't been tampered with and that you were okay. I can understand about the paranoia that has brought about. Be strong to work at putting it out of your mind, but at the same time, the time to remember it is when you buy products and make sure that they are sealed in future.
