I get very red in the face because of my social anxiety and I hear beta blockers work very well for that but I know you have to be prescribed them. Im only 15 and I don’t wanna tell my mom I even have anxiety . What do I do. I’ve tried everything I could do on my own and I give up because I don’t know how to control it

Hi and welcome GuyDB03. Am so sorry that you've gotten anxiety so early. Please don't suffer in silence. Tell your Mom and it might make your relationship better as she'll feel like she can help some of the anxiety behaviors she's probably noticed by now. And please tell your best friend if you haven't already. I have taken beta blockers and my opinion is that there are better medications out there that might help you with that social anxiety face flushing. I've been there, know exactly what you're dealing with.

Hi there. Stay away from beta blockers. They have terrible side effects and will likely make you more anxious. I don't know which medication is best but that is my opinion on beta blockers. I am on one for blood pressure and have had terrible month with nonstop side effects and I am on the lowest dose possible. Best wishes.

Hey there! Definitely talk with your mom, and see if you can talk to a doctor about this. Beta blockers work for some people (they've helped me in the past), but they might not be right for what you're dealing with. But talking to a doctor and preferably a counselor or therapist will help you learn to handle it. Hang in there - you're not alone! And you don't have to deal with this alone!
