Do you draw or paint as a way to relax?  Or do yo prefer to color in coloring books?  Or are you a sculptor?  It can be anything from arts to crafts, do you create as way to relax after a long day or a way to get our your emotions?

I used to draw but ever since I got into graphic design as a profession I haven't gotten to draw all that much. I tried to draw again just recently and I felt so rusty and it kind of made me feel a little bad but I know I can get back into it if I get regular practice again. Unfortunately, nowadays I mostly just watch some youtube videos to relax instead and I don't think they are as therapeutic as just drawing so maybe I will pick it up again soon. I think I mostly got to draw a lot before because I had nothing else to do while in class.

I do all kinds of arts and crafts to relax. I knit on a loom, I bead, I use coloring books, and I paint. I'm not saying I'm particularly good at any of it, but it's a nice way to relax and pass the time, it's also a pretty cheap way to make gifts. I've always gravitated toward creative hobbies and work, I was always the weird kid drawing in her notebook during math class, or beading when the other kids were out partying. I think it's a healthy alternative to a lot of self-destructive things people do.

I bought those adult coloring books just to see if they work and boy they're really special, I started coloring the drawings up even when I'm not stressed simply because it's so fun. Lately I've only been trying to add shadows to the drawings, no colors or anything and that has helped me a lot in learning how to draw. It's a really good way of winding yourself down.

I am too 'left brain' and I find my art in numbers and symbols. I've never drawn or colored anything in my adult life, but I find the same satisfaction in completing a Sudoku...

Goodness, you are a really artsy kind of person. Myself, I am not that good with stuff like that. Recently, I came upon adult coloring by accident. I have seen one of my teacher friends posting his handiwork on Facebook but I didn't really look into it. Then I came upon a forum which was all about adult coloring. Apparently, this is a quite an industry. There are lots of sites catering to this hobby. Now I am trying to find out how to do coloring digitally.

I always enjoyed coloring as a kid and adult. I own 2 adult coloring books and only started 1 picture in each. I really take my time, something about it is more special I guess. I also have a couple kids coloring books that I sometimes color in too. I also have some canvas and paints but that hobby comes and goes, I am terrible at painting but it is a fun way to experiment. I also sometimes try to draw, In High school I would often get out books that each a person how to draw, I didn't do well but it was a nice experience. I get the same pleasure reading a good book or doing a crossword sometimes.

I definitely use art to help cope! I've had different periods where I've been into different kinds of art. I've always appreciated art that looked realistic on canvas, but my style is something that is either more three-dimensional, useful, or abstract. I messed around with spraypaint art for awhile, and then actually glassblowing. Then, I'm also very into crocheting and currently I'm also learning how to loom knit. I'm also currently very into making abstract drawings of my friends or making things out of clay.
