I am 56. I have been dealing with this on and off since I have been 21, but I’ve also had long breaks from anxiety. I have a great job that and a great family. You can lead a good life with HA. This forum has really helped me realize what this disease is. Praying that all of you find some peace.

I am 61. Started anxiety and panic attacks at 12 years old. Have had periods where it was not so bad but it is always lurking. Having a bad bout now. My mammogram is coming up on Saturday and I'm dreading the worst. Basically convinced myself it will be horrific news. I am a Hodgkins Lymphoma survivor and the thought of another cancer scares the crap out of me. Also experiencing other physical symptoms which you name the disease, I feel I have it. I am in therapy but I honestly don't feel I will ever be rid of this :(

I will be 62 in December. Started suffering from anxiety at 10 1/2 and panic attacks at 12. Have had varying periods of "remission" over the years and periods of absolute terror, with various symptoms that made me convinced I had just about every disease under the sun. Although I feel I can control it at times, I honestly think I'm stuck with it. It's a horrible way to live.

I am 81 and have had this since I was 19. I understand all you have said. Periods of remission and periods of really bad times. I have had this bout for about 3 years now and it seems to be on and off. I worry about everything and always think something is wrong with me. This is a really good site and lots of people who can relate to our problems. Welcome and I hope you can get some help and maybe give and get some advice.

57 years old. Been dealing with this since I was 20. I feel lucky that I’ve had long periods of remission , but when it takes hold it’s all consuming. Went on meds for the first time a few months ago. So far so good. My wife jokingly calls me a survivor, as I have beaten several fatal diseases I was convinced I had , including ALS several times. Gotta have humor I guess.

I've joined the 50 club. My HA is by far the worst it's ever been. As I get older I am convinced every pain is cancer. It's horrible. I feel like I'm playing the cancer lottery and I'm just waiting on what cancer will finally get me in the end. I hate living like this. :(

I'm 65 and also going through a terrible brain tumor fear right now. Trying to get up enough courage to go to the doctor,

I am 61 I’m glad I found this place
I am 48 years old. I have been dealing with anxiety (sometimes health, sometimes spiritual and always OCD) issues since I was a young child but the first really bad events happened in the late 1980s. And yes, not having youth on my side anymore has occurred to me as well.

I literally could have written this. Except, I'm 45 ... And my anxiety started in the early 90's. It's always the same. Health, Spiritual, OCD.
