I know exactly how you feel. For me the anxiety starts a week before my appointment--lose appetite, sleep, etc. Blood pressure skyrockets, too, at the doctor's office, which just makes the anxiety worse. I've started carrying a 50-cent piece with me and, starting in the waiting room (an awful place, by the way) and then through the doctor's visit, I just fiddle with the coin in my hand and concentrate on its texture and coolness. Definitely not a cure-all but it helps me slightly distract myself. Good luck tomorrow and don't be afraid or ashamed to tell your doctor you struggle with this (if you haven't discussed it already).

The days leading to the appointments are torture but once the day arrives. I turn myself into a robot. I shower, get dressed and just focus on what I'm doing and I pray. If prayer is not your thing, meditate and deep breaths.
