Anyone have any pain symptoms in the throat?
Yes I have been to Doctor twice and 2 phone consultations over the phone he doesn’t think it’s anything serious as I have bad anxiety I go back to see him on Tuesday. He has had a good feel round my neck area and looked at my throat but no lumps ectYou have been having this for a while now? if I am not wrong you did write about it before. If it is still bothering you it might be worth having it checked out. Just to be safe. Might be nothing at all. But if it has gone on for a while now, it would be good to try and find out why. Rule out certain other things. That is the only reason you get these things checked out. So we know what it is not.
I had no appetite for a while due to worry lost a little weight and I had the full fear every day pacing the floors and crying all day, trembling all the time couldn’t cope that’s when I went to the Doctor. He has gave me Valium to calm me down as I was in such a state I have been trying to eat at least a good dinner every day and hopefully put a little weight back on when I get weighed on Tuesday I have no pain when swallowing or cough or any other signs just the pains that come n go? He thinks I have GAD it’s on my mind constantly I have throat cancer or is the Anxiety playing the mind games? I am having a bad day today just looking for adviceThat is a good sign then. Anxiety can cause us to tighten up in all areas. Like we pull the muscles tighter. Might be doing that with the muscles in your neck / throat area. Causing the pain. I do get a lot of pain elsewhere from doing exactly that. How are you when it comes to eating? Some people with anxiety can find it hard to eat. if this was the case, it might cause problems with the throat area. Anxiety based problems.
It’s not stopping my thoughts tho just going round my head all day n night but thanks for speaking to me xThe anxiety would keep your muscles tight. Simply because you are not relaxed. This could also mean throat muscles. Once you learn how to relax, the issue will probably clear up. Valium might just help you. .
We have to try and break up the thoughts cycle. Why are we having these thoughts? Are what we are thinking about real? Write your thoughts out on a piece of paper. Are they always the same? Do they change depending on how you are feeling? Link them to a feeling. One that you are having. All about trying to understand them. Prove to yourself that these thoughts have no real foundations at all. If we feel a pain we get a thought. We react to that thought. That brings on symptoms of anxiety we go through. They are all linked. Break the cycle and one will fix the other.
