First post I'll cut it short wife left me last year (trigger)ex and adult son moved 1000 miles away so I'm all alone now.That was a month ago I have hardley slept or eaten the last month.it gets worse by day especially at night was awake for 6 straight days wound up in the er last Sunday and pdocs office yesterday where he gave me ambien cr which only got me 5 hours of broken sleep until the endless thinking begins I'm afraid I'm going to lose my mind.I have a script for xanax 1 mg 4 times a day but it does nothing I have no relief.theres more I'll stop here

Welcome Gkab. Sounds like you're in quite a state. I've been there but not to your extent except a couple times. It's horrible, I'm so sorry for you. It's probably not going to let up until you come to terms with the ex and son. I certainly can relate to thinking I'm going crazy. You're on enough medication where it should help more than it seems to be. Hang in there. There's a very supportive group on this forum. Again, welcome.

It's not only that but my ex was my soul I relied on her for so much.my son was on his own at 35 living near by.But last year he was attacked by the same anxiety monster that attacked my mother brother and uncle.And wound up In a mental health care inpatient program after couciling that thought it best to quit his high pressure job and move far away from his father so may first they both did.Like blaming me instead of genetics.His uncle my brother at 69 took his life 2 years ago after a lifelong battle with this mental illness.functuoning caring person then wham it was over.ill stop.
