I have GAD. I've known this for a while and it's a big issue in my everyday life. However, it has recently started to become worse. I have episodes where I feel overwhelmed with anxiety and begin shaking and hyperventilating, unable to get myself out of it for a while. During these moments, I don't feel any chills, nausea, numbness, or any other physical symptoms of panic attacks. Would these still be considered panic attacks or is it just anxiety going into overdrive?
Of course, labeling these episodes won't change how they affect me, but it would be nice to be able to identify them nonetheless.
