Hello- this is my first time posting in here. Last year, around December I started having this overwhelming fear of having ALS. I’m a 33 YO female with minimal health problems. My health anxiety is bad- and I have a lot of triggers. I seem to move from one thing to another but it always circles back around threw each thing.
The other day, I came across a girl concerned with having ALS and I was able to help her through it, but now it’s triggered my anxiety with having ALS and I’m back down the rabbit hole. My legs have been twitching all day and feel very weak. Just looking for some reassurance and hoping to ease my anxiety.
Thank you!

"ALS is about failing, not feeling" is what many professionals as well as ALS sufferers say. There is an enormous amount of posts just like yours on this forum, other forums and blogs / articles - and none of them have ALS. The "facts" about ALS don't really matter. All that matters is that you would never be diagnosed with ALS simply because of twitching and perceived weakness.

and to piggyback off of this, what do you think the odds are that you - a person that suffers from health anxiety - actually have ALS and started developing symptoms right after being exposed to a bunch of information on the disease? also, per your twitching, please read this and put your mind at ease:

IS MY TWITCHING CAUSED BY ALS?
