Lol! What do you mean by weird?

I think that I understand you somehow... Sometimes I think about how weird are basically all our processes such as eating or socializing, the need that we have to do those things makes me think how many things we have in common with animals and we still think that we are completely different to them.

It happens to the best of us at one point or another. I usually don't get sleep when I overthink about the everyday stresses I have to do tomorrow but to get away from that I write down all my problems for the next day on a piece of paper like a to-do list just to manage the stress and it works for me. I say don't think about sleeping and instead think about all the good and productive things you'll do tomorrow. Also, for curiosity's sake how is sleep weird? How does your thinking process usually go about?

A lot of people are scared to sleep because of the dreams that they have. If that is the case, I think meditation would help. There are some really great meditation tracks free online. As for all the thoughts before you sleep, I think that it might help you to try and distract yourself just before bed and make sure that your thoughts are pleasant and easy and allow you to relax and calm down. Maybe you could try reading a book until you fall asleep, or watching a feel-good movie until you're tired enough. Some of these things may not work the first or even second day, but sometimes when you stick with it, your body eventually becomes conditioned to the new routine. Good luck...

Is sleep really weird? I read somewhere about a Chinese philosopher who went to sleep and dreamed that he was a butterfly. On waking up, he began to wonder whether he was actually a butterfly that was dreaming that he was a man. That's really weird, isn't it? At one time, when I was down with a bad fever, I passed a few days where I wasn't too sure whether I was awake or asleep. It was like when I was awake, things seemed to be like in a dream and when I was asleep, things seemed so real. Quite frightening, actually. I mean, when we cannot see the boundary between reality and imagination, things can go south very fast.

It happened when I was suffering from the worst anxiety I ever had in the past. Didn't happened to me again, so I can't tell you how I dealt with it becase I didn't, I woke up as a somnambulist or had night terrors. It was horrible, but it rarelly happened to me.

Well, I went through the same thing. One day I realized that taking long breaths helped me fall asleep. I haven't had a bad episode ever since then. In fact, I was sure that I would not be able to fall asleep before important interviews, but I have got even that covered now.
