I just got some bad news my grandma has colon cancer. I hate hearing bad news my adrenaline goes full force and I start fearing heart attack or stroke. Any positive thoughts or reassurance would be great thanks.

Sorry to hear that. Hang in there. Are you able to visit with her, or no? If so, try to spend some extra time with her, and enjoy the time. If not, maybe a phone call or even an old school letter.

I'm so sorry, @TruthHurts. The only thing I can offer is that in my work with my therapist, one of the most helpful things for me was learning exactly what adrenaline does. And wow, it does a lot, and it feels pretty terrible if we don't actually need it. The good news is that it goes away. This may be a little silly but it helped me... maybe it will help you too?
