Is This A Symptom Of Anxiety?

I've been grinding my teeth a lot lately and I am sure that is because of anxiety. The thing that I have also noticed, though, is that I seem to have developed a habit of rubbing my face. I've noticed I've rubbed it so much lately that my skin is beginning to feel sore.

Is this a symptom of anxiety or is there an underlying health issue that I should be worried about?

Thanks, Concernedgal. It makes my teeth feel weird though, and it's not a thing that I do a lot so it seems even more strange to me. I've been rubbing my face a lot too. It has felt sore because of rubbing it and that is what alerted me to it. I suppose I must be feeling anxious lately.

You need to find another way to cope with your anxiety. Chew gum for 1. Chewing gum releases serotonin they say this is what make's glutton's a glutton. Did you ever consider that your ssri could be partially be the blame?

I didn't realise that chewing gum could help. It's a great idea I think I'll try it and see if it helps. I'm taking Fluoxetine prozac and yes, it may be having that effect as it's a few months now since I've been taking it.
