I’m really scared I might have lung cancer I’ve been having sharp pains in my upper back when breathing and I’m really scared I don’t want to die
This doesn't give us much information to go on but try reminding yourself that it is much more likely to be a pulled muscle, a pinched nerve or ANXIETY (!!!!) than it is to be lung cancer. Occupy your brain! Stay busy!I’m really scared I might have lung cancer I’ve been having sharp pains in my upper back when breathing and I’m really scared I don’t want to die

for starters, the less active you are, the easier it is to injure yourself. simply sleeping in a strange position can cause you to be sore. GERD and reflux can also cause that pain. another thing that causes pain like that is anxiety, which you have. you should try doing something and getting your brain active.I’m not a very active person and have no injuries but my upper back and shoulder blades hurt when breathing
I’ve tried but nothing I’ve never had this pain before I’m so scared I don’t want to diefor starters, the less active you are, the easier it is to injure yourself. simply sleeping in a strange position can cause you to be sore. I’ve got a tickel in my throat to and I’m scared it could turn to a cough I’m so scared this might be lung cancer I really hope it notfor starters, the less active you are, the easier it is to injure yourself. simply sleeping in a strange position can cause you to be sore. sounds a ton like acid reflux to me!I’ve got a tickel in my throat to and I’m scared it could turn to a cough I’m so scared this might be lung cancer I really hope it not
But why would I only get back pain from breathingsounds a ton like acid reflux to me!
listen... i'm not a doctor... but i'd say that IF you had lung cancer you would have many more symptoms than chest pain when you breathe and a tickle in your throat. i won't even list them here as you might start suddenly experiencing them (an awesome side effect of health anxiety.) you give zero information about yourself but i'm guessing you're not in a high-risk category. play the odds. what are the odds this is cancer vs. a pulled muscle or acid reflux? if you're googling symptoms, STOP immediately. get up and get busy. Do you have anyone you can talk to about your concerns? Parents, friends, significant other? But why would I only get back pain from breathing
I’m just scared because I’ve never had pains in my back when breathing before I just don’t want it to be serious just want the pain to go so I can get my life back to normallisten... i'm not a doctor... but i'd say that IF you had lung cancer you would have many more symptoms than chest pain when you breathe and a tickle in your throat. i won't even list them here as you might start suddenly experiencing them (an awesome side effect of health anxiety.) you give zero information about yourself but i'm guessing you're not in a high-risk category. play the odds. what are the odds this is cancer vs. a pulled muscle or acid reflux? if you're googling symptoms, STOP immediately. get up and get busy. No I don’t went to a doctor about it but they just kind weren’t sure it’s just my upper back that hurts when I breathe and this cough kind of just wish I could get a scan and know but I’m scared because I don’t want it to be thatDo you smoke? Not that that’s the only reason you get lung cancer but it is a biggie. I agree with matisworried, if it were lung cancer you would more than likely have a bunch of other symptoms. Do you have a primary doctor you go to? Maybe go for a visit and discuss your worries. That’s the only way you’ll know what’s going on for sure.
life is full of weird aches and pains... especially if you're not a very active person. i used to be a 115 lbs heavier and i could wake up sore just from sleeping wrong... or pull muscles in parts of my body i didn't know they even existed by doing something as simple as cleaning my shower. i really don't advocate running off to the doctor. how long have you been in pain? are we talking days? weeks? months?I’m just scared because I’ve never had pains in my back when breathing before I just don’t want it to be serious just want the pain to go so I can get my life back to normal
I’ve had the pain for 4 days only upper back hurts when breathing movement does not make it worse have cough i am young never smoked just incredibly scared because of looking up about back pain when breathing I just scared and worriedlife is full of weird aches and pains... especially if you're not a very active person. i used to be a 115 lbs heavier and i could wake up sore just from sleeping wrong... or pull muscles in parts of my body i didn't know they even existed by doing something as simple as cleaning my shower. i really don't advocate running off to the doctor. how long have you been in pain? are we talking days? weeks? months?
always think of the odds. think of the risk factors. do you have any? my guess is no. how old are you? did you know the average age of diagnosis is 72? are you a smoker? even if you are, most people smoke for decades before developing cancer. some people smoke 2 packs a day and never get lung cancer. do people get lung cancer for no reason? sure, but it's incredibly rare... and you would have way more symptoms. trust me... i know someone who's 2 years cancer free.
four days? ok - take a deep breath. you DO NOT have lung cancer. for starters, your age and the fact that you've never smoked make the odds of it being cancer (or anything serious, for that matter) next to nothing. the odds are probably better that you'll get struck by lightning. second, like i said in my last post, i had a friend that had lung cancer. if this was cancer, you'd be having a multitude of other symptoms that you could not ignore. TRUST ME! i also read, i believe, on a different post that you've had xrays and labs and they both came back normal... even more reason to heed this advice! you really, truly need to stop researching illness on the internet. google is not our friends. have you ever tried therapy? or medications?I’ve had the pain for 4 days only upper back hurts when breathing movement does not make it worse have cough i am young never smoked just incredibly scared because of looking up about back pain when breathing I just scared and worried
Thanks for the advice I’ve just been scared the fact the back pain croaky voice and cough have all come together at one I do have a therapist but they r away at the moment and the reason I was scared at just those symptoms is because a doctor said that not all the symptoms have to be there early onfour days? ok - take a deep breath. you DO NOT have lung cancer. for starters, your age and the fact that you've never smoked make the odds of it being cancer (or anything serious, for that matter) next to nothing. the odds are probably better that you'll get struck by lightning. second, like i said in my last post, i had a friend that had lung cancer. if this was cancer, you'd be having a multitude of other symptoms that you could not ignore. Thanks I’m just scared of the what ifs like what else it’s can be it’s really scary just want to know what it isListen, if you don’t smoke I’m almost sure it’s not lung cancer. I recommend if it gets worse then go back to the doctors, but to me it sounds just like anxiety. I thought I had lung cancer plenty of times and believe me I smoke, if I don’t have it I’m sure you don’t. I’ve always had horrible back problems and headaches, and I’m not really active. If you don’t move a lot it’s so easy for your body to start hurting from the dumbest stuff. It could hurt from you lifting something. Also if you get a cold it weakens ur body making you feel like crap. I’m sure you’re okay!

Back pain is still there honestly stressing me out so much I just don’t know what to do or why this is happening I really don’t want it to be anything serious I’m so scaredfour days? ok - take a deep breath. you DO NOT have lung cancer. for starters, your age and the fact that you've never smoked make the odds of it being cancer (or anything serious, for that matter) next to nothing. the odds are probably better that you'll get struck by lightning. second, like i said in my last post, i had a friend that had lung cancer. if this was cancer, you'd be having a multitude of other symptoms that you could not ignore.
